Do you remember what I said in the other post about difference cultures? This is an example.
In my Parish, we have a fairly good-size Hispanic community. On December 12, they had a special Mass (notice the difference a Mass not a worshiping service) They hold a very special place for Our Lady of Guadalupe, but in no way does she replace God.
Sounds like somebody is making a lot of excuses for these cultures and not showing them the proper way to behave. I think they have YOU assimilated.

Proper way to behave? Enlighten us all. Please. With little to know indication of your religious affiliation please show us where those churchgoing Catholics are going wrong?

This is a re-enactment of the apparition of the Virgin to St.Juan Diego in Guadalupe. It is part of the tradition of the Catholic church. Do we not have do the same at Christmas with our Christmas pageants or during Lent with our Passion plays.
God created all of us in his image and likeness and it is good.
It’s only man who looks through dirty lenses and thinks that he is better than the next.

I live in Chicago and the faith of the Hispanics in our community is keeping many of our churches vibrant. Thank goodness because too many American born have stopped going to church. That’s who we should really pray for. Those who have strayed.
Jesus is out there, the good shepherd looking for the lost.

Gotta tell you…I just got back from adoration. And here in Chicago with the subzero temps…the people in church were Hispanic and some Polish immigrants there…of the 30 or so people there while I was there…2 of us were American born.

What do you mean by this? Proper behavior? What are they doing wrong?
