BTW im a catholic.

It is right a baby to be baptized? Because the baby has no ability to confessed.?

Im wondering why catholic baptizing a baby.?

Babies don’t need Confession.

Baptism gives them sanctifying grace, the virtues, the gifts of the Holy Ghost, and the indwelling of the Blessed Trinity. It takes away original sin and incorporates them into the Church. Why deprive them of these things?

When they get older, of course they will need to be instructed in the Catholic faith.

The parents are capable of confessing faith for the child, as the parents are to raise their child in faith.

In the Old Covenant, God commanded for all Hebrew children to be circumcised at eight days! Talk about young!! 🙂 They didn’t have to wait until they were old enough to confess their belief in Moses or the God of Abraham. They were raised in the covenant and eventually made their faith their own, but that wasn’t a requirement for entrance into the Covenant.

Why is this relevant?? Because the Church teaches, and the New Testament reveals, that Baptism is the “circumcision of Christ”! It’s the entrance into the New Covenant!! Why would God suddenly limit access to the graces of his New Covenant, which is far greater than the Old, to a certain age all of a sudden? The answer is he didn’t.

Also, we believe that the initial grace of justification is completely unmerited. There’s nothing anyone can do to earn this. (Eph 2:8-9) Baptism of babies is a beautiful illustration of this truth! What has a baby done?? He just lays there, and yet when the priest pours the water over his head, he is cleansed of original sin, infused with sanctifying grace, initiated into God’s covenant family, and becomes a Child of God and partaker of the divine nature!!! A baby has done nothing to earn those awesome gifts! And neither have we.👍

An adopted child becomes a member of a family even without realizing it. Baptism welcomes a child into God’s family, thus becoming as a member of the Church. The word “Church” simply mean’s “God’s People”. Baptism removes the Original Sin we inherit from Adam and Eve.

If a person is an adult and then finds God, the process is to first repent of personal sin and then seek baptism.
