It took me a while to realize something I watched in a movie was a rape

I know this sounds messed up but it wasn’t until after I finished watching this inappropriate action movie that I realized what I had done.:sad_yes:Ack!.,I just feel so vile now.I’d like to know if this something that’s confession worthy.

Did you do the depraved (note the spelling) act? No. Did you choose to watch this movie because you wanted to see this depraved act? I doubt it. Did you get excited while watching and choose to indulge in your excitement? I seriously doubt that.
So, again, why would you need to go to confession? The sacrament is for absolution of sins you have committed. What sin did you commit?

Yes, I understand that what you saw may have disturbed you, but why would this translate into a need for confession? If I pass an automobile accident, I may get upset if I see a person suffering, but I would not be complicit in any wrongdoing. If you found the rape scene to be vile, that is a *good *thing, not a wicked thing, as the emotional response would be appropriate to the action presented. If, as previously implied, you kept watching the movie over and over in order to become aroused by the scene, only *then *would your desire for confession be understood.

Thank you for correcting what would be my bad phonetic based spelling of the word and thank you all for your very helpful answers to the disturbing thing I saw which by the way I did not choose to watch this movie because you wanted to see* that *depraved act.It was for the action,originally that I chose to see it.

You’re welcome. (I am a geek for correct spelling and grammar, although I am not always correct, myself.)
You did not seek out this movie for that specific scene, and you were rightfully disturbed by it. You committed no sin in merely seeing it.
