Teaser trailer for the new “IT” movie, based on Stephen King’s iconic novel and miniseries. Coming in September 8.

This is the first of two movies that are planned for the story. The first one deals squarely with the kids in 1989 (moved up from 1958 in the novel and miniseries), the second with the kids turned adults in supposedly the 2010s (fans may know Pennywise appears every 27 years, so…).

This is one of my favorite SK novels and like many I also was traumatized by the miniseries as a kid. Although the miniseries now seems dated (particularly in its special effects). Aside from Tim Curry’s unforgettable Pennywise, I personally do not recommend it anymore.

237 million watched this the day it cam out. Looks like we have a massive blockbuster here. Enjoy. 👍👍

I think the original was much more frightening than the new one, if the trailer is any indicator.

The old version may be more frightening to you because you were probably a child when first watched it----and movies like that are frightening anyway for small children not used to horror franchises.

I know it was traumatizing, for ME, I tell you.
Was terrified of storm drains and some clowns for years afterwards.

So I understand where you are coming from. :)🙂
 
I was grown and married when we watched it. Hubs had to sleep with the lights on for a week.

Where do you get this number from? The YouTube page shows a little over 23 million views. Or did you accidentally add in the ‘7’? 😉
