Anyone go to the Italian parish of the Holy Rosary in the old north end of Kansas City, MO? I was thinking about starting to attend mass there but would like to know more about it? Is it a conservative or liberal parish? Is the priest friendly and approachable? Do they have devotions like the Rosary and adoration on a regular basis? Do they still do ethnic Italian/Sicilian religious practices?

Thanks to anyone who might be able to help me.

Most of the Columbus Park area has turned over since it’s days as Little Italy. The parish still retains its identity as the Italian parish, but the parishoners are a unique mix of old-school ethnic Italians and other Columbus Park residents.

But they do the best St. Joseph’s Table in the city!

Thanks for the info. Do you know if the parish tends to be more conservative or liberal in iit’s way of doing things?

I don’t actually know. I was thinking on Sunday as I was driving home from the nearby-ICRSS parish of Old St. Patrick’s that I’d like to go to Holy Rosary one Sunday just to see. I’ve never actually been inside the church.

If you do then please let me know how it is? I have heard that they have a beautiful interior with many statues of saints just like the Churches in Sicily do.
