We did this in my diocese, as well, yesterday. After the evening mass in the extraordinary form, we had a Eucharistic procession accompanied by a statue of our Lady, 2 relics of the passion, the patron saint of our diocese, and the bishop. This was done, as it has always been done, in times of Plague, pestilence, and death. The turn out was amazing. I saw people I’ve never seen before joining us for mass and the procession through the streets of our city. All to beg God to spare us, have mercy on us, protect us from this virus, and as reparation for the sins of the world.
