My GP doctor has, at two different points in my life, suggested mild antidepressants. They were the right medicine for those times, depression is a real, medical condition.
If you find that you’re not interested in doing much, it’s called anhedonia, a normal symptom of depression. I recommend a counselor, social worker, or psychologist who uses cognitive-behavioral therapy, a method that helps you change your thought patterns.
By the way, I’m an introvert. Books are my best friend. I can get them cheaply or for free.
Helping others can get your mind off your own worries. Perhaps volunteering at a local food bank or for your parish?
If you are a reader, you might also look for some book clubs-some are online groups, others meet at specific locations.
Don’t forget to take a break in front of the Blessed Sacrament. God is always there for you and would love to have you visit.
May God bless you.
Amen.
