YEA! I was checking everyday, several times a day to see if CAF was back, only to feel:banghead: So I resorted to cleaning out a few closets and doing some fall cleaning. I’m REALLY glad to have the Forums back

Yahoo!!! I emailed Forum Administration this morning because I couldn’t stand it any longer. When I received the reply that the forum was coming back today… it’s ridiculous how happy that news made me! I couldn’t find a forum I liked nearly as much.

It’s funny, I’m elated and upset at the same time. I am glad to see that CAF is back, though it’s absence has made me realize just how much time I was spending here. But I am upset because I had many threads bookmarked because of their awesome posts and guess what?! Almost all of those bookmarked threads are gone. :crying: Oh well, guess I have to start all over!

Did you guys know that other Catholic forums were similarly attacked and had to rebuild in a similar way?
Phatmass was attacked, I’m pretty sure. Though not totally destroyed, it was “grafittied” and messed up pretty bad, and was running on a screwed-up primitive level for a week or so and still isn’t totally restored.
And I’ve heard that a few other popular Catholic message boards were vandalized to various degrees.
Very frustrating for those that run them, I’m sure. Thanks so much for putting in the time to bring them back on line.

D’oh :banghead: I did check out CA Blue, but rejected it for not being CA-branded – Completely forgetting how annoyed I used to be by the wasted space on the sides!
(plus, I’m an autumn, not a blue person – But I’m CA-Blue now)

How wonderful the forums are back. 
I had CAF set as my homepage and without fail since the forums went down in 2 seconds time I would get the dreaded forums down message, but, when I connected to the net and saw the CAF page was actually loading just half an hour ago and I saw I wasn’t getting the lickety split fast forums down message I was **at the edge of my seat watching the status bar and looking at the screen, watching the status bar and looking at the screen… just to see what would happen. LOLOLOL **
When I saw CAF was back I was elated to say the least. I too like others was haunting other forums, but, there is nothing like CAF. We definitely need a patron saint for hackers logo for the forums… hmmm… Saint Michael would be nice as a choice, his sword ready at hand to vanquish any evil hackers!

One ore more of the priests at the Oratory might have some very good tips as to who in your area would make a good spiritual director. I’m sure they wouldn’t mind advising you if you give them a call (number is from their website): 416-532-2879. I would recommend just explaining quite simply and briefly that you are discerning a preistly/religious vocation (give them your age), and thought that since they are relatively close to where you live they might be able to give you some good recommendations regarding priests or religious in your area that could provide spiritual direction.
