The lump removed from my back is benign. :extrahappy:

I’d like to dedicate a prayer to all the people out there who are affected by cancer. For the afflicted, for their families, for their loved ones, for the survivors.

May God give them the strength to carry on, and the power of hope. May Mother Mary hold them in her arms and give them comfort. May Jesus protect them and save them from despair. May the Holy Spirit fill them with appreciation for the gifts in their lives amid the suffering, and may their suffering bring them closer to God.

Praying in thanksgiving and for your intentions.

God bless,
Ut

Thanks be to God!

Glory be to the Father and to the Son and to the Holy Spirit. As it was in the beginning, is now and ever shall be, world without end. Amen.

I rejoice with you! :harp:

Blessed be the Lord, who has heard the sound of my pleading.

The Lord is my strength and my shield, in whom my heart trusted and found help.

So my heart rejoices; with my song I praise my God.

Lord, you are the strength of your people, the saving refuge of your anointed king.

Save your people, bless your inheritance; feed and sustain them forever! (Psalm 28)

Excellent news! 🙂

From today’s Liturgy of the Hours:

Canticle Ephesians 1

God the Saviour

Blessed be God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ,
who has blessed us, in Christ, with every spiritual blessing in heaven.

In love, he chose us before the creation of the world,
to be holy and spotless in his sight.

He predestined us to be his adopted children through Jesus Christ,
simply because it pleased him to do so.

This he did for the praise of the glory of his grace,
of his free gift of us in his Beloved,

in whose blood we have gained redemption,
and the forgiveness of our sins.

This he did according to the riches of his grace,
which he gave us in abundance,

with all wisdom and discernment,
revealing to us the mysteries of his will,
because it pleased him to do so.

In this action he has planned, in the fulfilment of time,
to bring all things together in Christ,
from the heavens and from the earth.

Glory be to the Father and to the Son and to the Holy Spirit,
as it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be,
world without end.
Amen.

How wonderful. I will pray for all of them that are suffering also, and their families and care givers. :signofcross:

As I await the results of a biopsy, I offer a prayer of support for all who struggle against this disease.

Father in Heaven, You love each of us so profoundly that we cannot fathom Your love. We know that you test us for worthiness and acceptability in Your Kingdom. As we wait and battle against afflictions and illnesses that tax our strength and resolve, we know that You are with us through it all, Your mighty arm shielding and supporting us in times of unsteadiness. Bear with us in our weakness, Lord and hear our fervent prayer as we seek to fight for the blessed gift of life, which came from You alone. May all of our suffering be as a purgatory on earth, so that we might, through the purification of pain, be found acceptable to Your Kingdom when Your call reaches our ears. May the Angels and Saints join our unending petition for mercy. We ask this through Christ, our Lord, Who lives and reigns with You and the Holy Spirit, one God for ever and ever. Amen! Alleluia!

Prayers of praise for the good news:

“My soul glorifies the LORD
and my spirit rejoices in God my saviour …
the Almighty works marvels for me
and holy is His name …”

And prayers of support for all who are awaiting their own news
