I suppose some of these ideas are good. Living a healthy lifestyle both physically and spiritually is a habit I definitely need to work on so that I have it for the rest of my life.

Still, it feels like I’m not where I imagined myself being 4 years ago (age 18) and then 4 years ago I wasn’t where I wanted to be 4 years before that (age 14). It seems like much of life is not really about my choices and that my choices do not necessarily align with the results.
14-year-old me wanted to grow up and be a spy, so I guess I’ve disappointed 14-year-old me.

It’s OK, though.

Well it just seems that whenever I feel like I’m starting to make progress towards my goals that someone or something gets in my way and delays everything. It’s just really frustrating. If once in a while it went the other way and I got a boost then I would be alright with it but it just seems to only operate in one direction. I’m not sure if that is just life in general or I’m doing something wrong.

Your goals may not be God’s will, can you accept that? From where are these roadblocks coming? (These are questions for you, I’m not expecting answers.) I pray you get into spiritual direction to determine if these roadblocks are from God trying to move you in a different way, or of the evil one trying to block your progress at doing God’s will. God bless.

Man proposes. God often has other plans. That’s happened to me a lot in recent years. I don’t stop planning, but I keep in mind I could get sidetracked again out of left field. Have to turn this sort of thing over to the Lord rather than lose sleep over it.

I suppose that is true. It’s just frustrating seeing what all my peers are doing. I guess a lot of life is just luck.
