I've been experiencing spiritual dryness for a few years now. Is this normal?

Join a prayer group which will give god the reason for you to be a blessing. Or work at a soup kitchen once a month
Actually, moose is onto something here…if you’re feeling spiritual dryness perhaps put your faith into action more,it can be a wonderful distraction from ourselves ,giving.Physically giving help somewhere.
You might be doing something active already ?

I will not try to know what is inside of you but from what you said, it seems you are quite functional in your spiritual life lately. What strikes me is your confession that you did not feel any connection with God in your prayers. I think that may be a symptom to the problem you may try to address now.

Prayer is communication with God, like a bridge to cross to the other side. They used to say ‘God is a prayer away’. You know there’s something wrong in your spiritual life when you cannot connect to God.

John 15 comes to mind. We will only bear fruit if we abide in the true vine, taking its sap for our nutrition, otherwise we cannot do anything. We will bleed dry, fruitless and eventually die off.

We can be like that. Functional Christian does not mean we abide in the true vine.

I will not tell you how but you need to seek and ask. God promised us the Holy Spirit which He will give if we ask.

The Holy Spirit only can give you the fruit, not so much strictly as to by your own effort.

God bless.

For all of us have become like one who is unclean ,and all our righteousness deeds are like a filthy garment and all of us wither like a leaf and our iniquities like the wind take us away

For by grace you have been saved through faith and that not of yourselves it is the gift of God

Not as a result of works so that no one may boast
