My parents have been together 20 years this year. My dad was Jewish when he met my mom. Neither of them were very religious but they had two weddings a Catholic one and a Jewish One. At the Catholic wedding the priest had my father sign A agreement stating whatever children we had would be raised Catholic. He agreed because even though he had a lot of Jewish family he also had some cousins that were Catholic and didn’t mind. Fast forward 15 years and my mom had a baptism of the fire of the Holy Spirit. My mom started praying with me and my siblings in a family. Never once did she try to convert my dad. But one day he asked to pray the rosary with us. He’d hear us talk about church and theological subjects and sometimes would listen in. One night he had a heart attack scare. When my mom asked if he wanted to go to the hospital. He said no honestly right now I’m just scared I didn’t confess. And 3 years ago he converted on his own will. God works in mysterious way. Take St. Monica’s marriage as an example and if you are planning to marry her know she will need lots of prayer. But you too can bring her to sanctity like you should.
