Have you tried going to Adoration lately? I know in my own doubts and struggles, that’s always been a huge comfort.

Other than making a quick visit to the Adoration Chapel, no, Robyn. I haven’t spent any significant amount of time before Our Lord.

Thank you for suggesting that I do so. I am going to do it next week.

Hello Lorimar! I wish you had access to You Tube. I’ve been listening to some amazing priests who I believe are FSSP. Father Chad Riperger & Father Phil Wolfe. Father Phil Wolfe gave a homily that made some particularly salient points regarding crises in the Church, both current & past. We can find the earliest betrayal of Holy Mother Church by her the Apostles aka the First Pope & Bishops. Except for the beloved Apostle John, every other Bishop & the Pope himself, Peter, deserted our Blessed LORD at His crucifixion. John was the only Bishop who was loyal & he managed to do this despite the chaos around him by staying close to Our Lady. Father Wolfe urges us to bear this in mind especially at those times we are confronted by things from the hierarchy or even from the Vatican that we might consider scandalous. I’m not doing his brilliant Homily justice but I think I’m covering the main points. Anyway I will keep you in my prayers. I urge you to go to confession ASAP find a orthodox parish and attend mass. The devil wants to confuse you so he can take your soul. I’m thinking this current Pope and the crop of Liberal Bishops from which he spawned are a chastisement with which the LORD has allowed the devil to punish & confuse true Catholics. It’s up to us to stay loyal to our Blessed LORD, and thwart degenerate reprobates trying to use false authority to confuse us at every opportunity! It’s a test, the most important we will ever take! DO NOT FAIL!

Lord, I come before you today knowing that all power is in Your hands. I know that you are the Lord and that you care for your people.
Right now, my friend is struggling with a difficult trial. Reach down and touch her right now wherever she is at this moment. Let your presence fill the room where she is and let her feel an extra portion of your strength that can help her believe again.
She needs you now, Lord, and I thank you in advance for meeting her where she is and shoring up her strength during this difficult time.

I was once, for a brief period an agnostic. It luckily was ended by Christmas Mass. Then I went through crippling doubts until March. Then I now experience waves of doubts with Protestantism and Islam. You are not alone. Why do I tell you this? You are never alone. There are many who struggle like you.

There are always those who will fight with you and for you, even if they don’t know your name, for you are in the Body of Christ(not the Eucharist, the hands/feet of the Lord part of scripture. That clarification was more for myself), and quite frankly human, and there are always people praying for you.

It gets better. It sucks that it’s been 2 years. I can’t imagine. But try going back to Mass. And remember, at the time of the Arians, all the bishops but a few were heretics. In the Middle Ages, some popes kept women to sleep with. The thought disgusts me.

So though Pope Francis says some ambiguous thing that gets the media all excited that the Church will change teaching, and the bishops hid pervert priests for way to long, the Church lives on.

I’m shamelessly bumping my own thread due to the fact that my husband and I are still sitting home on Sunday. So, it has been about 15 months since we have been to Mass.
I want to go back, but I feel unable to get myself to do it. That’s diabolical.

On this Feast of the Sorrowful Mother, please ask Her to send me someone to help me or to give me a spiritual jump-start somehow, someway.

Genuinely appreciate any and all prayers.

If one is not happy with the church they will find some reason or another to leave it. Instead of blaming others for ones discontent perhaps we should look more closely at ourselves. If there is a problem with our relationship to God it is not God who needs to change, but us. If Jesus is truly present to us in the Eucharist then even if all hell broke loose around us we should not forsake Him. Yet, even if we should forsake Him, He will not forsake us. He will continue to woo us back to Him. I pray that you would be wooed back to Him. He still loves you.
 
Saint Michael, the archangel, defend us in battle, be our defense against the wickedness and snares of the devil, may God rebuke him, we humbly pray. And do you, O’ Prince of the Heavenly host, by the power of God thrust into Hell Satan and all the other evil spirits who prowl about the world for the ruin of souls.
