Again thank you for the kind words. The funny part is, looking back at it nothing really seems “terrible” about it to where it seems almost trite to bring it up.
Jesus said we have to deny ourselves, take up cross, and follow Him.
Denying ourselves is the hardest part I think, losing all the judgment and anxiety that society trains us to run almost all our waking hours.
But we each have our own crosses, and we will be given the challenges we need, when we need them I believe. We don’t have to carry Jesus’s cross, because that’s silly. He already did that. We can observe the stations and imagine it, but we have different roles, and the Spirit can guide us if we can be sensitive. Somehow I believe the Spirit is in charge, and God’s will is being done on earth, even when I’m not featured as “doing the right thing” at any given moment. But if we trust in this it can help lose fear and improve hope.
And I may have this or that harder than you, while you might have the other and over yonder, harder than me. So I compare stories more like different flavors than different quantities because the path is narrow and we can share some of the path but not all.
