Ivf - is it moral?

The Churches teaching regarding the proper use of ones sexuality and the bringing new life in the form of children is based on Jesus’ words, “in the beginning…God made them male and female…”. Pope John Paul II expounds on this in his Wednesday audiences beginning September 5, 1979. These talks are assembled in the book The Theology of the Body. They are also available on the Vatican website.

Thank you for pointing this out to me… I will read it with an open mind, which is the most anyone can ask. (Without having read this) I believe an interpretation of a piece of material to try to mold it to fit modern day technology is wrong. I can understand not wanting any embryos to be frozen (they can pass away or be damaged or never used and “discarded”), I can understand not wanting any abortions (either spontanious or by “reduction”) to take place, and I can understand the method for collecting sperm is also not in concert with teachings from the Bible. But, I can not (and I hope this reading will help me) understand why the issue with fertilization occuring inside or outside of the body is relevant. As I said before, I will read this, and pray for peace. Thank you.
