They are on their way so I need som quick help… I feel I’m competent enough to engage them in a dialogue. What’s the best approach (topic) to direct the conversation towards so that I might be the most effective witness for the Catholic Faith?

Be patient, polite, listen to them(or pretend to) and then follow up their arguments with rebuttals.

They WILL NOT accept literature or go to websites, so you’ll have to talk. I’d focus on Watchtower’s list of failed prophecies if you have Jason Evert’s book on JW’s, and also bring up Sola Scriptura, and how they know which books belong in the Bible and which don’t by going by the Bible alone.

Bummer…they skipped our house…maybe I looked too anxious…But I’ll be ready next time…:o 😉

I see on the CA “Stumpers” the main issues seem to deal with the immortal soul and hell. Would that be the place to go (ha-ha! I don’t mean go to hell…😃 ) but would it be best to engage them in a conversation about the reality of hell and the eternal soul, or would it be better to focus on the errors of their translation of the Bible?

So you say more of a “history” conversation…? Do they have books in their translation not in the true cannon?
