The sad part is that there are people who actually believe that garbage, and spread it around like it’s the truth. Jack Chick obviously caters to the gullible who are too lazy to research and just simply take in anything that’s told to them.

It would be fun spreading these things to the Muslim community online and have them issue a fatwa against Jack Chick. Maybe that should knock some sense out of him–or maybe he’ll only thing the Church is out to get him. Seriously, such nonsense is offensive to Muslims as well. I am surprised they have not yet issued a fatwa against Jack Chick, though I am not sure if issuing such applies to non-Muslims.

I remember reading Jack Chick’s history of Catholicism. It was a real hoot. Did you know the Jesuits murdered Abraham Lincoln? That the Catholic Church invented Communism and Nazism as ways to destroy Russia and take her over? The guy is a certifiable nut. The tract began with a vandal desecrating a synagogue, and the response of the good Evangelical was, “That’s no neo-nazi, that’s a Jesuit.” The guy has nothing going on upstairs. Very entertaining though, if you can contain your blood pressure.

Jack Chick blames all ills on the Church. It’s the Church who’s behind Nazism, Communism, Islam, etc. Wow. Maybe he’ll blame the Church as well on global warming. When you hate something, there’s no end in sight in blaming it for whatever ills there are there. Sad man.

If you think Jack Chick is off base just check oyt Dave Hunt’s website. His latest newsletter trashed John Paul II. He also promotes a book written by one of his staff which debumnk ‘the Passion’, saying beacuse its based on the stations of the cross, and the stations of the cross are catholic and by definition wicked, the passion is wicked. This author also claims Protestants made the movie a success and they were led astray. Just more proof anti-catholicism is the last acceptable prejudice.
 
I know that we can all have a good laugh by looking at the Jack Chick sites and comics. However, we must all realize that such a sick mind needs our prayers. Somebody said earlier that it was too late for Jack Chick. We must never give up hope. I always wondered what turns a small innocent child into such a hatefilled person. But as one grows up, we start to exercise our free will and we should know the difference between right and wrong. It is in our hearts and we can either choose to abide by that knowledge or ignore it. We must continue to pray for such warped deceived minds.
BTW the bit about Abraham Lincoln, I know there was a poster that was banned some months ago that makes all sorts of claims that the Vatican had Lincoln assasinated and that persons website gives high praises to a Charles Chiniquy, a priest who left the Catholic Church, here is a website to put all that trash to rest. There were also claims that John Wilkes Booth was Catholic and an agent of the Vatican.

BTW since the Catholic Church gets blamed for all just about everything, I’m just waiting to read something concerning UFO’s. Maybe that’s also a Vatican conspiracy. You have heard stories about people being taken and then all sorts of sexual things done to them. Maybe they are really priests in those UFO’s. I’m surprised Dave and Jack havent come up with this yet…or have they?
 
I agree about Chick, the man is to be pitied because he doesn’t know what he’s talking about and it’s so sad that he is so hateful towards something we know to be absolutely beautiful and uplifting.

All we can do is pray for him.
 
I don’t think you all realise…that is to say, yes, YOU all can laugh &/or debunk this stuff now, but, some people actually DO believe all of this stuff. This doesn’t look to far fetched from some of the things I learned at a dispensationalist school I went to during some of my Jr. High years.

The point I am trying to make is that IF this stuff, much like Chinese & North Korean propeganda, is said, early, often, loud, and to the ignorant, then, it’s true. IF this is what one learns from the time one can speak, and there are NO ways of countering this…

The ignorant also work nicely. If they can’t prove it’s NOT true…

Jack Chick- a strange specimen- I have read a number of his publications and to describe them as bizarre would be charitable. At best he is delusional at worst an anti -christian bigot. The best of it is that there are any amount of fools who wil fall for this rubbish hook, line and sinker.

Next thing you know he will blame the Pope, Catholic Church or Jesiuts on the death of Christ.

Mental note must not put ideas in his head.

I doubt that very many Catholics will are influenced by him.

Even those who know very little about the Faith will be highly offended and lost to his efforts.

The real targets are the Chick Tract Junkies who buy most of it. It’s like preaching to the choir for them, they definately want to read garbage about the church.
