I thought the death cookie tract was dumb, personally. I lean towards believing that the literal blood and body of Christ are there, but still question it sometimes. The original Greek on the NT certainly seems to support this doctrine, but I’m no scholar.
God can use a JW pamphlet to get people out of Mormonism, the Book of Mormon to get people out of Islam, or Das Kapital to get poeple out of the Unification Church, but it doesn’t make those publications good materials.
But you have to admit that his heart is in the right place if he’s atleast trying to reach people he thinks are lost.

I believed the common neo-pentecostal expressions “God’s word will not return void” (from the Bible, of course) and “Chew the meat and spit out the bones” (a Southernism, I think). These together meant “In written material and speeches/TV programs, whatever quotes Scripture somewhere is great and if there are lies in it the audience will sort it out and individually reject the untrue part while benefitting from the Scripture.” But in fact our own exposure to such a wide range of absurdities and lies, ranging from Chick’s friends and ex-friends (Rebecca Brown being one of the scariest IMO) to the therapies and theories that presuppose SRA everywhere you look, to demon-behind-every-bush therapies, to prosperity teaching, to what-have-you, began to wear out our collective and individual ability to think about things logically. It was like the way you can’t judge traffic safety when the traffic is past a certain level of size and complexity; you can’t even tell where everyone is trying to go, forget figuring out who has right-of-way. You know, JWs and Mormons are fond of playing the role of victim whenever someone disagrees with them too. I’m amazed that he’s still alive. I would have thought that the Muslims would have put a “fatwa” on him long ago with a price on his head… Even as a Catholic I found that POS to be absolute garbage…and yes, it, like every other one of those POS’s I find end up in the garbage…and quickly.

Consider this: If “one” (a person…such as yourself) has to constantly, be it verbally or in writing, launch vitriolic attacks on the beliefs of another, in order to justify yourself and your beliefs, is that not hate-mongering and bigotry? Does not his trash feed people of that ilk? “Copping out” on a “technicality” like that is rather disingenuous. In fact that borders on self-righteous drivel. Chick loves to manipulate scripture verses to fit his demented notions of the right way to believe, yet…YET he goes against the very words of Christ: “Judge not lest ye be judged”! Not too mention many other scriptures as well.
As a matter of fact… YES, everything he puts out…period, and without exception is OFFENSIVE!! In fact it redefines the meaning of OFFENSIVE.
