Jack Van Impe's new rant

I used to listen to Jack on the radio back in the 70’s (he was extremely anti-Catholic back then) and later watched his TV show off and on. After I got into the bible about 20 years ago, I started looking up his “quotes from memory” as I watched. I found that he is very frequently wrong, his quotes are very slanted paraphrases with added words and meanings opposite the cited text, and generally his chapter & verse citations have little or nothing to do with what he quotes.

All show, no blow.

I agree that Rexella was hot in her younger days.

I agree on all of your points, including your comments on Rexella… and she always seemed to be a very nice person. Although, in their later years, those two stopped acting like people who were married to each other. Did they get a divorced or are they still married?

Jack has preached the “End of the World” stuff for thirty years …I wonder how many different time frames he has come up with over the years…His program amounts to, “Protestant Fortune Telling”…

Jack is a master of the “circle talk”, saying a lot, without saying a lot…he would have made a great politician…

Yeah, I don’t know who is buddy buddy with who, but, they both seem to be pandering to either uneducated or miseducated Christians.

It is really too bad that Jack has not yet found his way to a Catholic Conversion (Lord are you listening?) because he could be soooo effective for Christ if only he had the fullness of truth behind his words.

Our Protestant brethren can keep him, IMHO. The Catholic Church doesn’t need people who will say anything, true or false, to gain followers. We don’t need his methods. As for his zeal, we’ve got Fr. Corapi, who is fearless in telling the truth, like it or not.

The best thing that could happen to Jack is to convert and spend several years paying penance for all the harm he and his ilk have done to innocent souls. As should all who claim to be shepherds but are actually wolves in sheep’s clothing, no matter what Christian body they belong to.

I think our love is lacking when we can’t wish the best for someone, and when we can’t make room in our hearts for God to convert someone. Who’s heart is harder, Jack’s or ours when we can’t wish him well? What a poor reflection of the Love of Christ I am reading here. We are to LOVE even our enemies. By going to Divinity school (in Jack’s case, Rexella I’m not so sure about). Haven’t seen any other Protestant Ministers stand up for the Catholic Church the way Jack does, but I guess that doesn’t really count.

Thank you so very much for what you’ve written about Mr. Van Impe here, because he stands up for the Catholic Church in ways I haven’t seen too many other Protestant Ministers do. Daggers and back-biting thrown at a man who while in the beginning of his ministry spoke against the Catholic faith, now defends it over and over again.

Others in the Christian community will not stand with him on this issue of Catholics and the original Hebrew texts, but Jack just keeps on holding you guys and gals up but when I read some of these posts I ask myself why? I realize you most likely feel that you don’t need Jack’s or anyone else’s help or blessing to do what you do, but I feel deeply sorry for him after reading some of these comments, but yours was like a breath of fresh air and I’ll be praying for you because of the kindness that you’ve shown him.
May the Lord have mercy on us ALL.

Although, in their later years, those two stopped acting like people who were married to each other **You’re kidding right? **. Did they get a divorced or are they still married They’re still married and love each other just the same.?

Jack has preached the “End of the World” stuff for thirty years …I wonder how many different time frames he has come up with over the years God’s time frame is NOT our and if you really listened to Jack’s programs, you’d hear him say we’re not supposed to “set dates”.…His program amounts to, “Protestant Fortune Telling”… Protestant Fortune Telling, wow and you guys call Christians all kinds of names.
