O sorrowful Jesus, how profound and deep was your suffering in the Garden of Olives. So profound, that your sweat became drops of blood falling down upon the earth. By the merits of such great suffering and by the sorrows of the Immaculate Mother, we pray for those who are being tempted with suicide today. Wash them in your Most Precious Blood and free them from such spiritual struggle. Let your wonderful light penetrate their minds, hearts, and souls. Fill them with hope and faith in you. O Sorrowful Mother, we entrust these precious souls to you. Obtain for them God’s mercy. Saint Michael the Archangel, defend them. All the Angels and Saints, pray for them. Amen
Our Father who art in heaven, hallowed be Thy name; Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us; And lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil. Amen.
Hail Mary full of grace, the Lord is with Thee. Blessed art Thou amongst women and blessed is the fruit of Thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners now and at the hour of our death. Amen.
Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit as it was in the beginning is now and ever shall be. Amen.

Holy Michael the Archangel defend us in the day of battle.
Be our safeguard against the wickedness and snares of the devil.
May God rebuke him, we humbly pray,
and do Thou, O Prince of the Heavenly Host,
by the Power of God,
thrust down to hell satan and all the wicked spirits,
who wander through the world for the ruin of souls.
Amen.
Remember, O most loving Virgin Mary, that never was it known that anyone fled to your protection, implored your help, or sought your intercession and was left forsaken. Inspired by this confidence, I fly unto you, O Virgin of virgins, my Mother. To you I come, before you I stand, a sorrowful sinner. Despise not my words, O Mother of the Word, but in your mercy, hear and answer me.
Amen

A prayer against depression
O Christ Jesus,
When all is darkness
And we feel our weakness and helplessness,
Give us the sense of Your Presence,
Your Love and Your Strength.
Help us to have perfect trust
In Your protecting love
And strengthening power,
So that nothing may frighten or worry us,
For, living close to You,
We shall see Your Hand,
Your Purpose, Your Will through all things.
By St. Ignatius of Loyola
Lord, relieve James from his suicidal impulses
so that he can get psychiatric help.
*St. Dymphna, pray for us.
St. Jude, pray for us. *

“Dear Lord, you are our refuge in good and in bad times. In your infinite mercy, bring peace and comfort to those of us who face days sometimes filled with pain and depression. Help us to realize that through you there is joy and the promise of lasting peace. Help us through the rough times. Walk before and beside us so that we may walk in your footsteps and reach out to you in our journey on this earth. Help us to focus on our blessings rather than our misfortunes, dear Lord. Thank you for hearing and answering our prayers. Amen”
