I’m still trying to sort through the comments on wearing “purple” which was most certainly NOT the liturgical color. It was white.

Normal Sunday 7:30 am attendance. What i did find sad was Friday Morning for the Feast of the Holy Family, we may have had 3 dozen, and those are mostly regular daily Mass attendees. I know that many folks down here were off for the entire week and many had family from up north in to visit. It is sad that so many Catholics are ignorant of, or just ingnore the Liturgical Year. I know it is not a Holy Day of Obligation, but do we really only want to do just the minimum?

Lol, don’t think too hard about it. Our pastor wore gold. The trim on the front and back is more of a dark maroon color with a large M on the back for Mary, the patron of our parish. These beautiful vestments are worn on all of the major feast days, including those of our Blessed Mother, our patron.

How was your parish’s attendance for today’s solemnity? The vigil Mass last night was well-attended, and this morning’s 8:30 Mass was semi-half full. Overall, there was more people than I expected.
We attended the 6:30 a.m. crack o’dawn Mass, and there seemed to be more parishioners than usual in attendance.

Our 11am Mass was about 2/3 full. I don’t know about the 8am or the Sat 5:30pm.

I’d say that was pretty good attendance for the “morning after”!😃

I dragged myself out of bed to go to the 11:15am Mass at my parish.

The Mass had just as many people as usual. The church was about 2/3rds full.
