JWs are very much like Mormons in many respects. Both believe that some of them will become gods. Both deny the true divinity of Christ (JWs flat-out deny it, Mormons redefine deity to include created beings who become ascended masters), and neither believes in hell. JWs believe that the wicked will be annihilated so they won’t suffer. Mormons believe the wicked go to the Telestial Kingdom, the lowest degree of eternal glory. Brigham young said the Telestial Kingdom is so wonderful that if we caught a glimpse of it, we would surely commit suicide to get there. Actually they do have a sort of hell, called “outer darkness” where Satan and his demons will end up, along with apostate ex-Mormons like meAnother ‘bleeding-heart’ liberal!But back to J/W’s. What really shocked me this year is the unwitting revelation of a J/w contact who revealed that the 144,000 will be demi-gods i.e. gods but not God Almighty, they cease to be human. They refuse to believe in the Holy Trinity, but they willingly believe in a ‘multiplicity’. It’s the oldest deception by the enemy, “…you shall be like gods…”

Catholic-pride has a lot of religious zeal in his/her answers, but I must admit that I don’t see the love of our Lord in him/her. What always comes to mind is the Lords prayer….”forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us…” I hate to be the person who doesn’t forgive. Holding that much anger towards people is a common mistake we all can fall into. Hate is a sin that we can allow to grow within us and before you know it, we become very judgmental on others. This is something St. Peters warns of in 1 Peter 5: 8-9; “Stay sober and alert. Your opponent the devil is prowling like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour. Resist him, solid in your faith.” Hate is an opening that we give for Satan to get his fangs into us, and why do that when we have enough trouble in the world. I am not saying that Child molesters and abortionists are people that we must respect or even have a friendship with, believe me as a former law enforcement officer I have my personal feelings about them, but I also know that they are human and somewhere in there we must keep them in our prayers just out of human dignity.
