I have an obvious question here…I have visited a few around the world. They are really peaceful, beautiful places.
I don’t know how to answer your opinion that lots are getting thrown out and not cared about anymore, and this is proof the JW’s don’t show love. All fully understood what Bethel is about, applied to serve and were invited. I know several who have done this. Some stayed for years. None were under any dellusion they would be set up for life.
IF there is NO set time they will be received to stay - then how does a single person know if they should eliminate a rental or rid themselves of a mortgage?
Because if they are given a small allowance - then it would be impossible to pay a mortgage.
If the time is undetermined - and as one poster said - no real notice of being removed - then how do they accomodate for such an undeniably apathetic method of operation?
At least in the seminary - they are interviewed and assessed first - to see if they would be able to remain or not.
It doesnt usually come as a sudden surprise, nor should it.
Buddhists are also peaceful. I dont think that is a mark of truth.
I think the whole bethal thing is cultish. And here is why - they are not anything doing for the world they judge - they are doing it for one religion only. They dont care about going into savage lands and risking their lives to convert others.
They did however wait until the Catholic missionaries did this over the centuries - only to come in and bring the tares amongst the wheat.
I see no courage in how they work.
I apologise…its just from personal experience and debate with friends and an ex boyfriend that I know what they teach.
And how distorted their NWT Bible is. It definitely contradicts the ancient texts still on hand !
