How do you argue with one? I work with a girl who became one about a year ago because their church would have kicked out her boyfriend for dating a non-witness. Well, she truely believes it is the truth now. When we discuss religion she refers to her’s as the “truth”. I have already asked the obvious Where did it COME from??] and have been firmly informed that the Jehovas Witnesses can be traced back to biblical times. We dont fight we just debate…and I know I must win this one, it’s pretty important! Thanks for any info!
For some good ideas and apologetic information, go to:
catholicxjw.com
You can find articles and podcasts that can help you, as well as tracts that you can print out.
There is also a forum there, where former JWs who are now Catholic can answer your questions.
I was raised as a JW, and was received into the Catholic Church this Easter. However, I basically “left” the JWs a number of years before “finding” the Catholic Church.

New converts to the Witnesses have been warned that they will receive opposition from those close to them, and have been taught to view such opposition as coming from the Devil. So you cannot be very direct in your approach, but rather plant seeds to make your friend think. Also, the Christian witness of your life as a Catholic Christian is the most powerful influence you can have on your friend.
Keep your friend in your prayers constantly. Considering praying a Novena for your friend, requesting a Mass to be said for her, putting her on prayer lists.
