Certainly being kind to strangers is a virtue. However, virtue taken too far is no longer virtue. It becomes a vice. What you are apologizing for is imprudent. I believe that is obvious from the negative effects of illegal immigration. You should research this yourself and perhaps next time on your way down to Mexico spend some time cleaning up trash on the immigration routes.
What am I apologizing for that is imprudent?

I see white people litter all the time, but I guess you don’t find that a problem. Only the brown ones are a problem.

The fact that you equate litter with illegal immigration shows your underlying prejudice.

I live about 75 miles from the border. So I find your comment ridiculous.

Uncontrolled immigration.
I’m glad your neighborhood is clean. perhaps you could visit ones of these areas along the border too. truthorfiction.com/arizona-desert-trash/

Nice way to throw out the “R” card too. I see I had you pegged from your first post. I’ll bet you don’t have the guts to face the facts of all the people and institutions you are hurting by promoting illegal immigration, not only in the US, but in Mexico as well. You just don’t care as long as you can look down on “stupid rednecks” or whatever slur you apply to people who understand the damage done.

I’ve never advocated uncontrolled immigration. I just believe our current laws are unjust and inadequate to meet the needs of people asking our help.

Catholic Social teaching is that people have a RIGHT to migrate in order to work. I’m not saying it should be unlimited but we can do so much more. Look at how poor they are and how rich we are. It’s that whole “whoever has two coats steals from his brother who has none”.

I hope the thread doesn’t get too heated. It’s important to talk about these things.

Regardless of the difference in degrees of my examples compared to immigration, and let’s face it we can argue what is worse all day, but the overarching point is that Jesse claims antinomian heresy refers to following civil law.

How can he justify that error with one side of the mouth and not the other.

It’s an erroneous position in its principle. Antinomianism either means one must follow civil law (Jesse’s point) or it doesn’t. At what point according to Jesse are laws allowed to not be followed.
Illegal immigrants are stealing from your poor legal neighbor, not your rich neighbor. The rich one get’s his garden work for half price under the table.

We should help our neighbor countries during a crisis but we are not responsible for ensuring the standard of living. For that they need to elect capable leaders in their elections. Actual refugees are the result of a real crisis.

Donate to a good charity if you want to help people abroad (Catholic Relief Services is one of the best). You can also donate to an opposition party in mexico if you want to get involve in their politics.
