Jesse Tree Advent Tradition

Is anyone doing a Jesse Tree for advent this year? Which version of readings/symbols do you like? I am not sure which I like best-- the ones that include the seven O Antiphons that focus on Christ from Dec. 17th on, or the ones that have a different biblical personage each day all the way through to Dec. 24th. How do you do your tree, and how did you decide?
 
Ours uses stories from the Bible each day of Advent. We also light an advent wreath, and the O Antiphons are a part of that devotion, so it’s not either/or for us.

For the tree itself, we use the Christmas tree that we cut every year. I used shrinky dinks to make purple ornaments, and place them around the tree as we go. We also string the lights around the tree ahead of time, and from Gaudete Sunday on, we turn on the tree lights - makes for a pretty purple glow as we continue to add the Jesse Tree ornaments. The Jesse Tree ornaments come down on Christmas Eve when the tree is decorated with the Christmas ornaments.
