Evidence 1:

And (remember) when Allâh said: “O 'Īsā (Jesus)! I will take you and raise you to Myself and clear you [of the forged statement that 'Īsā (Jesus) is Allâh’s son] of those who disbelieve, and I will make those who follow you (Monotheists, who worship none but Allâh) superior to those who disbelieve [in the Oneness of Allâh, or disbelieve in some of His Messengers, e.g. Muhammad SAW, 'Īsā (Jesus), Mûsâ (Moses), etc., or in His Holy Books, e.g. the Taurât (Torah), the Injeel (Gospel), the Qur’ân] till the Day of Resurrection]. Then you will return to Me and I will judge between you in the matters in which you used to dispute.”
(Quran-3:55)

Evidence 2:

And there is none of the people of the Scripture (Jews and Christians), but must believe in him 'Īsā (Jesus), son of Maryam (Mary), as only a Messenger of Allâh and a human being],] before his 'Īsā (Jesus) A.S. or a Jew’s or a Christian’s] death] (at the time of the appearance of the angel of death). And on the Day of Resurrection, he 'Īsā (Jesus)] will be a witness against them
(Quran-4:159)

Evidence 3

And he 'Īsā (Jesus), son of Maryam (Mary)] shall be a known sign for (the coming of) the Hour (Day of Resurrection) *] . Therefore have no doubt concerning it (i.e. the Day of Resurrection). And follow Me (Allâh) (i.e. be obedient to Allâh and do what He orders you to do, O mankind)! This is the Straight Path (of Islâmic Monotheism, leading to Allâh and to His Paradise).(Quran-43:61)

He 'Īsā (Jesus)] was not more than a slave. We granted Our Favour to him, and We made him an example for the Children of Israel (i.e. his creation without a father).(Quran-43:59)

Evidence 4

(Remember) when Allâh will say (on the Day of Resurrection). "O 'Īsā (Jesus), son of Maryam (Mary)! Remember My Favour to you and to your mother when I supported you with Rûh-ul-Qudus [Jibrail (Gabriel)] so that you spoke to the people in the cradle] and in maturity; and when I taught you writing, Al¬Hikmah (the power of understanding), the Taurât (Torah) and the Injeel (Gospel); and when you made out of the clay, a figure like that of a bird, by My Permission, and you breathed into it, and it became a bird by My Permission, and you healed those born blind, and the lepers by My Permission, and when you brought forth the dead by My Permission; and when I restrained the Children of Israel from you (when they resolved to kill you) as you came unto them with clear proofs, and the disbelievers among them said: ‘This is nothing but evident magic.’ "(Quran-5:110)

Continued…*

Evidence 5

Verily, the likeness of 'Īsā (Jesus) before Allâh is the likeness of Adam. He created him from dust, then (He) said to him: “Be!” - and he was. (Quran-3:59)

Evidence 6

“And Salâm (peace) be upon me the day I was born, and the day I die, and the day I shall be raised alive!”(Quran-19:33)

Evidence 7

“He will speak to the people in the cradle] and in manhood, and he will be one of the righteous.”(Quran-3:46)

Evidence 8

O you who believe! Be you helpers (in the Cause) of Allâh as said 'Īsā (Jesus), son of Maryam (Mary), to the Hawârîyyun (the disciples) : “Who are my helpers (in the Cause) of Allâh?” The Hawârîyyun (the disciples) said: “We are Allâh’s helpers” (i.e. we will strive in His Cause!). Then a group of the Children of Israel believed and a group disbelieved. So We gave power to those who believed against their enemies, and they became the victorious (uppermost).(Quran-61:14)

**The Jesus of Mahometanism bears no resemblance to the Jesus of reality and the Bible.

I confess there is NO GOD but Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, and that Jesus is God Incarnate risen from the dead.**

Dear tomshaikh

We are Christians, and as such we do not consider the Qur’ân as an authority on anything. If you wish to “prove” that our faith is wrong, you might consider trying using the Holy Bible, Holy Tradition or serious historical scholarship.Otherwise, Catholics such as me are not going to listen.

God bless you

Thanks for posting this Tom Shaikh. As always, I learn new things from your contributions.

As I mentioned yesterday, I think the Qur’an story of Jesus makes much more sense than the New Testament stories (there are more than one, and they conflict).

If there is a God, I don’t believe he likes suffering, and I don’t believe he would have let his messenger Jesus (saw) suffer in the way that the Bible attests. I also agree with you that if there is a God, he is one God, not three. (That’s my tradition also).

Both the bible and Quran are the product of the past. But, the bible groom a man like John Paul II, and Mother Theresa. A peaceful man who defeat communism without any bullet to file. A peaceful woman who care more to others than to herself. If I want to find any examples of somebody who care more to him/herself, I would have tons of them. If I want to find somebody who care more about other than to him/herself? I can find many of them groomed by the bible, as compared to other holy book. I don’t mean that other holybooks grooms no good people, anyway. I am just saying the the bible yields more. So, the contradictory that some people claims really mean more and yield more, compared to the plain simple sentences coming from other holy book. Even so, those simple sentences yield differences in interpretations. It is remarkable the those “contradictory stuffs” in the bible yield almost no terrorist in the world. Those are the facts that I can see myself.

No offense but I suspect you are either losing faith or are a troll.

Your profile says you are LDS, yet in this post you appear to be agnostic and have little faith in the Bible.

No offense taken, and I appreciate the questions. If you feel I’m a troll, you (and everyone else who shares that opinion) is welcome to add me to your ignore list.

I’ve been open about the fact that I’m extremely skeptical about a literal or personal God. In that respect, I’m a much different Mormon than, for example, Why Me or Zerinus. Why Me is something of an enigma, but s/he seems to be a sort of cultural Mormon who appreciates some of the outward aspects of the tradition, while at the same time identifying as a Catholic revert.

Zerinus, in contrast, is a true believer, who can be seen telling Catholics and others how “wrong” they are, and patting himself on the back for his supposed “correctness”.

Mormonism to me is both a tradition and a framework for things like charity and service projects. I don’t pretend to believe I’m going to the “Celestial Kingdom”, nor have I told Catholics they were following the anti-Christ, or that they were deluded apostates who were being duped by Satan into following a fallen church. These are fairy tales which don’t reflect upon reality. The Bible, in my opinion, is an inspired work of fiction, same as the Book of Mormon.

Take Care,

LaMar

Tomshaikh, why are you adding to the words of Allah words he did not utter? do you believe the one who wrote into brackets is all-knowing?

There is a different thread on the koran and maybe this should be there. But, the koran should be read by all infidels because then they would know all the battle tactics they use against us besides fear and terror.

We need to start paying attention to what muslims do to infidels worldwide and websites like the one that is posted is just a website to try to convert us. I do believe that is against the rules that I read. Anyway, if the muslims were so accepting of Jesus then why do they want us either dead, converted to islam or subjugated? And we see that even the subjugated ones are often tortured, have crimes of theft, rape, beatings, kidnapping, enslavement, and also being killed by musims for no other reason than they are not muslim?!

Muslims use Jesus and their ‘saying’ they are ok with us and Christianity. They have been told that when Christ returns they will rule the earth and it will be all islamicized. This is why their over concern with it all. They want to rule and as I said above - see us dead, converted or subjugated.

And you stated it perfectly. It will be all INSHALLAH AFTER the 2nd coming of Jesus.

Until then… there are no promises of peace because mohammed stated that no peace is to last longer than 10 years and can be broken at any time by muslims if the muslims are rearmed and/or regrouped.

And you think that we will be tossed into hades while muslims will all go to heaven. You think that He will kill the ‘pigs’ who I assume are the Jews since that is how muslims refer to them. Gee, since Jesus WAS a Jew I don’t know why muslims think He would kill His own people and let those who slaughter them and want them dead get off scott free!

‘not explicitly mentioned in the Koran, there is a Hadith which gives a detailed series of events connected with the second coming. (A Hadith is a saying or tradition, not part of the Koran but given importance in Islamic thinking). It speaks of Jesus going to Jerusalem with a lance in his hand with which he will kill the Antichrist. ‘Then he will kill the pigs, break the cross, demolish oratories and churches and kill Christians except those who believe in him (i.e. in the Muslim sense as a prophet not as the Son of God).’

#1. I am not your brother (even the Catholics might get upset with that sentiment - but I do not affiliate myself to a brotherhood with a group of people who follow a ‘religion’ that expressly calls for all non-muslims to be either dead, converted or subjugated.
#2. I don’t buy islam, mohammed nor the koran so that means that your idea of the second coming is just a sentiment that mohammed thought up that takes the Christian’s 2nd coming of Christ and twists it to fit his own ends.

The problem is that you think the koran is truthful - I don’t. It was written for muslims by mohammed. It was written so muslims know to keep on fighting/killing us, or to subjugate us, especially since mohammed knew that we wouldn’t buy it if we read it - so it had to be put on us by force.

Even Christ’s 2nd coming is for muslims as stated in the koran. The whole premise is not even correct so how can I keep on arguing on that vein?!

Here is a passage out of that post, ‘This dark age will be one of increasing injustice, oppression, famine and poverty, moral collapse, war and conflict, anarchy and chaos.’

I believe that the ones bringing this chaos, war, conflict, etc are the muslims themselves. Look at what they do worldwide - nothing but slaughter, kill, destroy, hate, lie, enslave, rape, they even kill their own such as their women and other muslims. they are taking children as using them as jihadists and suicide bombers. The only chaos I see is coming from your own.

Your ‘golden age’ will be when the majority of muslims realize that islam is what the problem is and leave it.

I do believe that I meet another so called ‘moderate’ who justifies the killing with their koran. This is why I don’t believe that the jihadists are the ones distorting the koran. But, I also don’t believe that the so called ‘moderates’ want the jihadists to stop either and they are just as much in a jihad as the jihadists who use death and terror - only they are more sneaky.

mohammed sanctioned lying and that is exactly what the ‘moderates’ do - most of the time. I think you forgot to do so. But, thanks your true self shines through another post.

I know why so many muslims are on a Catholic website - they are trying to deceive us as to what islam really is all about. But, you sort of are forgetting to do that - many thanks for letting all to know your true self.

I am quoting the Koran verse that allegedly regards Jesus’ return as a clear sign of the Hour:

Surah 43.61 And most surely it is a knowledge of the hour, therefore have no doubt about it and follow me: this is the right path.

This is the plain verse purified from the brackets inserted by people who deliberately distort their own Scripture! Although many Muslim commentators surprisingly discover Jesus here, their discovery is to no avail because this verse and the whole chapter belong to the period when Mohammad had taught his followers nothing about Jesus’ death or supposed assumption. Since this verse - Mecca period - precedes the verses - Medina period - denying Jesus’ crucifixion and teaching His assumption, it would be impossible for the one devising this sentence to have Jesus in mind while talking about the signs of the Hour. 😃
