Jesus and Muhammad and their message

I have heard many Muslims say that the bible is an extension of the quran and that they (muslims) honor the bible and its message. (coming from Yusef Estes)
Now if this is true; why does Muhammad’s message contradict everything Jesus stood for and said?

The Muslim answer is that Jesus’s teachings have been corrupted or changed. They cannot show when or how this happened, or why God would allow for it.

There are several Christian answers to this question. One, the message to Mohammed was not from God. This is not automatically saying that Islam is from the devil, but it is saying that it is not of the same origin as the Bible. Option two, Mohammed or someone else altered the teachings to better fit the Arabian concept of peace, justice, and all. It is also possible that it was changed to allow for better social control. A third option is both of the preceeding options are correct.

well said ralphinal, I would also add a possible Satan involvement per this verse from the Bible:

(Isaiah 14:12-14):
“How you have fallen from heaven, O morning star, son of the dawn! You have been cast down to the earth, you who once laid low the nations! You said in your heart, "I will ascend to heaven; I will raise my throne above the stars of God; I will sit enthroned on the mount of assembly, on the utmost heights of the sacred mountain.I will ascend above the tops of the clouds; I will make myself like the Most High.”
