Jesus as God?

I have always been told and believe that Jesus is indeed God. So with that being said: Did Jesus studied the Torah? Did He have to learn the Word of God just as all the other Jewish men of His time did? Does the bible not say that “the Word became flesh” meaning Jesus is the Word of God come down to us, so if that being the case why would He need to studying something He is?:hmm:
 
Actually Our Lord( at a young age) was indeed more knowledgeable about the scriptures than others.
 
Nowhere in the bible does it actually say that He studied the Torah or that He needed to, but it would have been disrespectful of Him not to join the other Jewish boys in their studies.
Remember that in the gospel of Luke, at twelve years old, Jesus remained behind with the Jewish teachers "47 Everyone who heard him was amazed at his understanding and his answers." Luke 47
and when Mary and Joseph found Him and were upset over the three days He had been missing, conversing with the Temple leaders, He replied

49 “Why were you searching for me?” he asked. “Didn’t you know I had to be in my Father’s house?”[f] 50 But they did not understand what he was saying to them.

51 Then he went down to Nazareth with them and was obedient to them. But his mother treasured all these things in her heart."

👍 Yep, he DID seem to have wisdom that was beyond his age.
 
The human nature of Jesus, body and soul, was given all the knowledge that he would need in his earthly mission. But this knowledge was not infinite. He had no need to speak Chinese or program a computer.

Did he study the Torah? It’s possible, but only if he got permission to read the local Rabbi’s Torah. These books were rare and extremely expensive and few people could get their hands on one.
I think it is more likely that Jesus was simply given the knowledge by divine inspiration.
It’s an interesting point, but not important.

which implies a learning process; though it does not specify how He gained the increase.
 
Jesus, being human, acted no differently than other Jewish boys of his age. All Jewish boys at the time of Christ underwent religious studies prior to their 13th birthday, just as they do today. I don’t know if there was the Bar Mitzvah rite at that time, but religious training was a must so that the boy could take up his religious responsibilities on his 13th birthday as a man.
Jesus, being the earthly son of observent parents would have studied with a local rabbi or scribe where he lived. His divine nature gave him a little edge over his earthly contemporaries as is evidenced when he was “lost in the Temple” at age 12.

Yes, the Word became Jesus.

Yes, Jesus studied the Torah.

You ask, why would He need to study something He is ?

Well, I ask you, where is there a conflict or contradiction in that ?

I mean, He was born out of a mother whom He created, and there is no conflict in that.

Jesus had no need to study the scriptures. Even if he did read the scriptures he was just reading what he had already known; so the word studying implies learning and Jesus did no learning and therefore no studying.

Jesus’ knowledge of scriptures exceeded what was contained within the scripture, hence the new covenant.
