Didn’t Muhammad come 500 years after Christianity?

Jesus had twelve men who witnessed His miracles.

How many people did Muhammad have? Where are his witnesses?

Amazing how much these two religions have in common.

1 .Muhammad and Smith were both visited by an angel that delivered their books, the Book of Mormon and the Koran.
2. Both were given angelic visions
3. Both were told no true religion was to be found on earth outside of theirs.
4. Both claimed to have received the “restored” gospel that was taken from the earth.
5.Both wrote a book that was inspired by Angels; Gabriel, for Islam and Moroni/Nephi for Mormonism.
6. Both stated that the books were returned to heaven to be with God.
7. Both claim their own holy book to be the most correct book on the earth, with no error.
8. Both Muhammad and Smith claimed to be the prophet of the restoration.
9.Both claimed to be persecuted due to their faith.
10. Both were polygamists.
11.Both borrowed from paganism/polytheism. Muhammad incorporated that polytheistic moon god called “Allah” and “Allah’s three daughters” into Islam. Basically Muhammad chose Allah from within 350 known gods that were worshipped in Arabia and proclaimed the moon god to be the greatest and only God. Smith borrowed from a doctrine called “pyramidology,” from the Masons, and other magic systems.
12. Both received “after-the-fact corrective revelations” from God. Islam retracted the satanic verses and Mormonism retracted the divine order mandating polygamy.
13. Immediately after the deaths of Muhammad and Smith, a fight broke out among “faithful converts” as to who would succeed their deceased leaders.
14. Both groups were plunged into irreparable division that has endured ever since. Islam and Mormonism both have squabbles among themselves as to which is the one true splinter group of their prophet!
15.Muslims claim that Jesus and the Apostles were actually Muslims, not Jews. Mormons claim that they are actually Jews from lost tribes, such as Ephraim.

Everyone wants to be the Original, but there can only be one Original.
All the rest are just a copy.

I am tired of reading Christians trying to compare Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) and Joseph Smith.

The Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) brought the Qur’an to humankind as the ultimate proof that he is indeed the Messenger of God.

What proof of Prophet-hood did Joseph Smith bring to humankind?

Hi

They did not understand the miracles of Jesus, if we go by what is written in the NTBible presently.

Jesus promised to show Sign of Jonah, and Jonah went alive in the belly of the fish, remained alive in the belly of fish and came out alive and when Jonah went to his people, they all accepted him a true ProphetMessenger of GodAllahYHWH.

The present NTBible does not mention that all the above were fulfilled in JesusYeshuaIssa. Under some misconceptions, it is believed:
  1. Jesus got killed cursedly before he was laid in the tomb, this would be against the Sign of Jonah.
  2. Jesus remained dead in the belly of the fish; this would be against the Sign of Jonah again.
  3. The Jews for whom the Sign was, they never accepted Jesus as a true ProphetMessenger of GodAllahYHWH, while people of Jonah all accepted him.
This makes Jesus a lesser Prophet than Jonah, yet they could not understand it.

I honestly believe that this misconception needs to be corrected now. However, no compulsion

Thanks

You know the “sign” of Jonah was that Jesus would be in the “belly” of the earth for three days like Jonah was in the belly of the whale for three days. That was the sign.

I thought he was in a fish, not a whale (small point only, I know)

One day some teachers of religious law and Pharisees came to Jesus and said, “Teacher, we want you to show us a miraculous sign to prove your authority.”
But Jesus replied, “Only an evil, adulterous generation would demand a miraculous sign; but the only sign I will give them is the sign of the prophet Jonah. For as Jonah was in the belly of the great fish for three days and three nights, so will the Son of Man be in the heart of the earth for three days and three nights. - (Matt 12:38-40)
And Jesus, after His death on the cross, was laid in a tomb for 3 days. On the third day He rose from the dead, as He also prophesied.

What about this is so confusing to Muslims?

Many Jews, including the men closest to him, repented at Jesus preaching. They accepted Him, and believed He died and was resurrected. They became Christians.

The Sanhedrin (Jews) didn’t believe him or repent. Instead they had him killed. What happened to them? They and the Temple were destroyed in 70 A.D.

This passage from the Bible comes right after the one you quoted.
(Matthew 12:41-42) "The men of Nineveh will stand up with this generation at the judgment, and will condemn it because they repented at the preaching of Jonah; and behold, something greater than Jonah is here. At the judgment the queen of the south will arise with this generation and condemn it, because she came from the ends of the earth to hear the wisdom of Solomon, and there is something greater than Solomon here.

Jesus tried to warn them that He is much greater than Jonah. HE ALSO WARNS US! At the final Judgement the faithless generation that rejects him will be condemned.

Peace be with you.

Hi

I think the above verses from (Matthew 12:41-42) “The men of Nineveh will stand up with this generation at the judgment, and will condemn it because they repented at the preaching of Jonah; and behold, something greater than Jonah is here." prove my point.

Since Jesus was a greater ProphetMessenger of GodAllahYHWH so he was:
  1. Saved from getting killed cursedly on Cross
  2. When he migrated to India and the neighboring countries, the Jews of the lost tribes of Israel accepted him in large numbers and he was respected by them as a spiritual king.
This is what I believe as to how the Sign of Jonah was fulfilled in Jesus.
I respect your viewpoint

Thanks

Why do I keep thinking it is a whale? I just had this conversation with my husband and I said whale. He said fish and I didn’t catch it.No pun intended:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:Thank you.

It could have been a whale.

A whale is a fish isn’t it?

It’s because of Disney I keep thinking whale.

No problemo. It’s like Adam and the ‘apple’ when it actually says fruit.

Have you seen the story involving the Crunchie?

Maybe I’m thinking of somethign else? 😃

Hi

I know we don’t agree about Jesus, but here is what Christians think. Jesus was greater than Jonah because
  1. Jesus died and was then resurrect. By dying He DESTROYED OUR DEATH and by rising from the dead He RESTORED OUR LIFE. His power over life and death makes him greater than Jonah, not that he was saved from death.
  2. Jesus didn’t migrate to India. The story of Jesus having power over life and death, was enough for them to believe. Jesus promised anyone who believes in Him will have everlasting life. Please remember no one actually saw Jonah in the fish’s belly just like no one in India actually saw Jesus in the tomb. But, they believed the story. I have not seen Jesus with my eyes but I BELIEVE.
Thank you for talking about your belief

Hi

No one alive has seen Jonah, Jesus and Muhammad with one’s eyes; but everybody could see all the three with the eye of reason. Please make a little research and you would know the facts.

Thanks
