This is a classic paarsurrey response: go research it for yourself - he’s just absolutely sure he’s right - no need to discuss it further with you. He’s told you the truth. Now you’re expected to go out and research it till you see his point. If you don’t then he’ll conclude you weren’t interested to know the truth in the first place!
