I have read a prayer found on a prayer card inside a Catholic Adoration Chapel that always comes to mind…" Jesus is my Counselor…" I understand it, but I don’t feel I am achieving this. I want Jesus as my Counselor.
I do experience depression. I have seen my family physician already and am taking a mild prescribed medication. I have turned to Jesus and spirituality for both comfort when I am going through trials and also to show thankfulness and gratitude to Jesus and God.
I feel I am not reaching the connection of “Jesus is my Counselor” and putting this into real existence in my life.I am trying but maybe I am not doing this correctly. Any help or guidance?
thanks. celestepell1.

Jesus is the Wisdom of God, and so when you act with wisdom, he is counsoling you. follow his examples in the scriptures, and this is more of his counsel. try to pay attention and act like christ and he will guide you.

Thank you . That offers assistance. I will direct my attention to what you have offered. Anyone else?

Get to know Jesus reading the Gospels and always ask yourself in any given situation: what would Jesus do? Learn his words, his actions, even his little movements from Scripture, think of what he said and did. His counsel is in the Gospels and prayer.
