Where will Jesus dwell at beyond? İn heaven or is there any other location for him? The issue confuse my mind is that if Jesus is a God Than is there any mean having a location, time and a body like mankind? Or Jesus is an only humanbeing and prophet of God so he will go in heaven?
I just wonder that how this topic is explained with Catholic doctrine.

In the Old Testament, paradise was restricted to mean the place in which God put Adam and Eve and from which He expelled them after their sin.

In the New Testament and in Christian literature the earthly paradise, in the ancient sense of the word, is distinguished from the heavenly paradise, in the sense of a place where the blessed enjoy the vision of God. Thus understood, paradise, also called heaven, is, foremost, a state or condition of beatitude in which the vision and fruition of God are the source of eternal happiness.

But paradise is also a place, as is demanded by the presence there of the humanity of the God-Man Jesus Christ, of the Blessed Virgin Mary, assumed into heaven corporally, and of all the glorious bodies after the general resurrection. Nothing can be said about the location of paradise.

Jesus is not a God, but is an integral part of the Trinity. The Trinity is ONE God, Who is made up of the Father, the Son (Jesus) and the Holy Spirit.

I don’t even pretend to understand this. But years ago I saw a diagram that did a pretty good job of it. I can’t draw the diagram, but I can summarize it:

Th Father is not the Son, the Son is not the Holy Spirit, the Holy Spirit is not the Father. The Father is God, the Son is God, the Holy Spirit is God.

I understand and agree.

I can not understand what does “assumed into heaven corporally” mean. Will Jesus be in paradise corporally or with his divine nature that is not need for any matter and substance?
Than is there any need to say that Jesus is a God but he himself need eating, drinking, place, time etc.

İf paradise is a creature than it need a location. Some high Muslim scholars saw paradise with mental and spiritual discovery? Paradise is under Arş-ı Azam (a very big universe) and Sidre-i Münteha beyond where creatures finish and place for God start that we can not understand and measure with mind.

Hey Mhmtas. :)Well, God is forever and lives eternally, beyond space and time i.e. existed before space and time. Right? That should answer the question: “Where will Jesus dwell at beyond?” God eventually entered into His creation, as a male, via the blessed mother Mary i.e. as God incarnate to do the sacrificial work (as both fully God and fully Man) necessary to reverse the acts of the very first humans e.g. sin. When Jesus walked the earth He fulfilled the messianic prophecies, i.e. He was the long-awaited Prophet, King and Messiah of the new and everlasting covenant. Once His work as the final Prophet, King and Messiah and suffering Servant was completed (i.e. His salvific work within time and space, here on earth) Jesus returned to His eternal Home, an eternal abode and Kingdom, now open to every human be it past, present or future. Upon His second coming, all things will be made new; pretty cool stuff:

Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth. The first heaven and the first earth had disappeared. Now there was no sea. 2 And I saw the holy city, the new Jerusalem,[a] coming down out of heaven from God. It was prepared like a bride dressed for her husband.

3 I heard a loud voice from the throne. It said, “Now God’s home is with people. He will live with them. They will be his people. God himself will be with them and will be their God. 4 He will wipe away every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death, sadness, crying, or pain. All the old ways are gone.”

5 The one who was sitting on the throne said, “Look, I am making everything new!” Then he said, “Write this, because these words are true and can be trusted.”

6 The one on the throne said to me, “It is finished! I am the Alpha and the Omega,** the Beginning and the End. I will give free water from the spring of the water of life to anyone who is thirsty. 7 All those who win the victory will receive all this. And I will be their God, and they will be my children. 8 But those who are cowards, those who refuse to believe, those who do terrible things, those who kill, those who sin sexually, those who do evil magic, those who worship idols, and those who tell lies—they will all have a place in the lake of burning sulfur. This is the second death.”**

I’m not well qualified for this discussion but will address just briefly the issue of “Corporeal” bodies.

When Jesus appeared to the Apostles after the resurrection He was able to simply appear within a locked room, yet could also eat. The reason for this is that He now has a “glorified body”. It is real (can eat) yet is not constrained to the same limitations as our current corporeal bodies (appearing and disappearing).

For this reason we may not be able to apply the sort of limited thinking that says a body cannot be in two places at once.

Hope this helps a little…

Peace
James

👍 We are so cognitively limited on this side of eternity…" I have spoken to you of earthly things and you do not believe; how then will you believe if I speak of heavenly things?"

Primal issue between us is that: What God say and make definition for him self and revealed to prophet Jesus that is being considered as if Jesus say it for himself. Smilarly if we consider what God say in Quran for himsel as if Muhammed say for himself than Muhammed would be God. But Muhammed is only a prophet as Jesus. Here are only an example:
  1. To Him belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth: it is He Who gives Life and Death; and He has Power over all things.
  2. He is the First and the Last, the Evident and the Hidden(İn Bible as Alfa and Omega): and He has full knowledge of all things.
  3. He it is Who created the heavens and the earth in six Days, then established Himself on the Throne. He knows what enters within the earth and what comes forth out of it, what comes down from heaven and what mounts up to it. And He is with you wheresoever ye may be. And Allah sees well all that ye do.
  4. To Him belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth: and all affairs go back to Allah
    (Quran, Al-Hadid:2-5)

We will have to respectfully disagree. I respect your right to believe in the prophet Muhammad and his teachings; please respect my belief that Jesus is God. Thanks brother…🙂
