Yes, one drop of his blood would have been sufficient, but Jesus wanted to show his great love for us and suffer to the full–allowing the hatred of man and the devil to fall upon him instead of us. The Crucifixion didn’t just satisfy God’s justice, it also proved his ineffable love that he suffered all so he could heal all by his suffering, death, and resurrection.
