Why not just read a great Catholic book (from the past 2,000 years or the current generation)? Does it have to have days of the year and the word “Devotional” on the cover? Try Four Signs of a Dynamic Catholic which is an easy read.
Because the OP was looking for a daily devotional. 😃

If she wanted a great Catholic book, I would have recommended a great Catholic book. 🤷

I have the children’s version for my kids. I read it too. I have many daily devotional a throughout the years and have to say I enjoy this one immensely. I have recently been going through some really tough family issues (mom has dimentia) and find more comfort in this than my other books. It is more on the fluffy feel good side but honestly that is what I need right now. I have been reading some really heavy material before this and I just cannot focus or absorb anything.
As far as my kids they are reading it, so a plus there.

There is a very good review on amazon about this book written by a priest. He tells both the good and the bad. He does say it is not heretical or going against the Catholic faith. But it is in some ways incomplete.

What do you want or expect in a devotional (daily/other) Catholic book?

Writing a devotional book has been on my radar for awhile.

God bless,

The writer claims that she prays and learns the thoughts of Christ and then writes them down. This is self interpretation with no authority. I would carefully discern this book and not believe that everything a priest approves is good for you. God Bless.

What about My Daily Bread by Anthony J. Paone S.J. I realize it is 60 years old this year, but wouldn’t it be considered a Catholic Daily Devotional.
