Jesus Christ is Risen Today! He is Truly Risen!

I know that Easter to not until tomorrow for most of you, so please forgive me if this seems impertinent.

After so long, Jesus Christ is Risen. I can only imagine what I’d be heading off to at Mass this morning were it not for COVID-19.

Regardless, Jesus Christ is Truly Risen! Alleluia! Alleluia!

We preach Christ crucified, but we also preach Christ Resurrected.

It is finally the day of Christ’s Resurrection. I am rejoicing.

 
Am I right in saying that the Easter Season begins with the celebration of the Vigil on the night before? I think that’s the case but I just wanted to check.

I watched the Easter Vigil at the Vatican this afternoon with Pope Francis. It was beautiful!

Here in New Zealand it looks like supermarkets and the like are open today, Easter Sunday. Normally of course they are closed on Easter day.

Are they also open in Australia (if I remember correctly, you are Australian but forgive me if I am wrong!)?

Yes Supermarkets are open today here. Normally pubs and restuarants would be open too as people celebrate Easter lunch but not this year.
