The socalled founders of the “remains of Jesus” are going to milk this story for all its worth.
My guess is the documentary will end with an attempt to prove that Jesus is the father of Anna Nicole Smith’s baby. :rolleyes:

Hey… Yeah! That gave me a great idea! The Discovery Channel should get those Mythbuster guys to figure this pesky “Jesus’ tomb” out, that ought to settle this once and for all.QUOTE]

:rotfl:

This has been all over the news and I had a question. Does anybody know what they did with the remains in the ossuary? Are they going to try to preserve them or do more tests? Here is a link with some info on the find:

Anybody who thinks this is true is one can short of a six pack!!
This is the usual event around either Easter or Christmas when anti-Christian film makers see an opportunity to make money.
The whole thing is rubbish!

2Ti 4:3 For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears;
2Ti 4:4 And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.

Jud 1:17 But, beloved, remember ye the words which were spoken before of the apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ;
Jud 1:18 How that they told you there should be mockers in the last time, who should walk after their own ungodly lusts.

Gee,
Good planning! … Obtain DNA samples for two of three ossuaries – but not that of the “child” and then use no genetic relationship as “evidence”.

😃

Considering the number of out of wedlock child-support cases that are DNA backed today – what is the statistic that the bulk public will actually buy this? (secular faith? 😉 )

People don’t seem to need evidence or logic to believe anything, all they need is an interesting story. 😦 I know of people who are certain that the davinci code is real despite the evidence that it isn’t.

Yep, if it’s written in a famous book, it must be true (except the Bible, of course).

If you want to see fiction you cannot do better than a good book 😛
You’re right, but sometimes I feel like I should watch something so that I will be able to discuss it more intelligently. In this case, if I were explaining the findings of the IAA, etc., and someone asked “Did you actually **see **the show?” I believe my argument would be more credible if I had.

Just imagine if these movie producers utter the saying:
If I am lying may I be struck down by lightning…

and CRASH BOOM!

Just being silly…😃 😃

I read a book entitled, “The Tomb of God”. In it it talks about finding the remains of Jesus in France. I’m sure you have heard of Fr. Saunier who supposedly found information inside his altar that would stand christianity on its head! I approached it not as literal, but from curiosity. The authors use many hidden clues in portraits, tomb stones, castles, geometric angles and such to support their argument. I found the book fascinating, but not Scriptural. This book alone could produce some very enlightening and intelligent exchange among the participants of this forum. 👍

"Blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed." John 20:29
