I was contemplating the institution of the Eucharist while saying the Rosary. In it Jesus took the bread commanded his apostles to eat it and said “do this in memory of me”. In a similar fashion he took the cup and told them again “do this in memory of me”.
My question is this; other than this occasion, did Christ ever command us to do something specifically for Him? He often said to …do this or that because it is pleasing to your father in heaven, or to ask for things in his name but as far as I can recollect, this is the only thing he commanded us to do specifically for him.
