well still, no Jew would call Jesus “Messiah messenger of Allah”…strange verse indeed…

What does this mean? The party with a different opinion about Jesus’ death is in doubt about it, but is it not a good thing for that part to differ from the Jews? rotfl If they differ about Messiah’s death, that means they do not think and believe as Jews do on the basis of the Messiah’s death! If the differing ones know nothing, who knows the truth? Actually, Mohammed and his followers differ from the Jews and Christians over the Messiah’s death. This proves that Mohammed and his book are in doubt concerning the Crucifixion. Muslims only follow a conjecture! AMEN…
That’s the part that always got me: I thought Islam was supposed to be perfected and unified? How is it perfected and unified if they can’t even agree over one prophet’s death?

Jesus denied being God in the bible and the Quran

John 20:17 Jesus said I ascend to** my God and your God?**

As we can see here Jesus denied the divinity and tells us that we and Jesus have a common God.

Christians how do you deny that?

Peace.
Not interested in the Quran, but how do you explain this from Jesus ?

John.14
[8] Philip said to him,** “Lord, show us the Father,** and we shall be satisfied.”
[9] Jesus said to him, "Have I been with you so long, and yet you do not know me, Philip? He who has seen me has seen the Father; how can you say, `Show us the Father’?

well the majority say someone else who looked like Jesus was crucified 😃

Welcome to the astounding Islamic mentality! This is one of the prevalent tactics Muslims follow to defy Jews and Christians while they brag about possessing the truth. When Mohammed saw that Jews and Christians had disagreement about certain issues, he used that as a strong weapon in his psychological war against them. He asserted that the dissent necessitated the final revelation from Allah (the Quran). Nevertheless, when it was Muslims who differed over a specific tenet, he said that Allah would reveal the truth at the end of times since those disagreements were crucial as a sign of Allah’s wish to test Muslims. In short, Allah wants believers not to differ, but He does nothing when people do so since He does not have the absolute will to cease disagreements:
22 67-69 Unto each nation have We given sacred rites which they are to perform; so let them not dispute with thee of the matter, but summon thou unto thy Lord. Lo! thou indeed followest right guidance. And if they wrangle with thee, say: Allah is Best Aware of what ye do. Allah will judge between you on the Day of Resurrection concerning that wherein ye used to differ.

23: 53-54 But they (mankind) have broken their religion among them into sects, each group rejoicing in its tenets. So leave them in their error till a time.

30: 32 Of those who split up their religion and became schismatics, each sect exulting in its tenets.

BUT:
16: 93 Had Allah willed He could have made you (all) one nation, but He sendeth whom He will astray and guideth whom He will, and ye will indeed be asked of what ye used to do.

11: 118-119 And if thy Lord had willed, He verily would have made mankind one nation, yet they cease not differing, Save him on whom thy Lord hath mercy; and for that He did create them. And the Word of thy Lord hath been fulfilled: Verily I shall fill hell with the jinn and mankind together.

5: 48 Had Allah willed He could have made you one community. But that He may try you by that which He hath given you (He hath made you as ye are). So vie one with another in good works. Unto Allah ye will all return, and He will then inform you of that wherein ye differ.

42: 8 Had Allah willed, He could have made them one community, but Allah bringeth whom He will into His mercy. And the wrong-doers have no friend nor helper.

Peace to all,

With all due respect to christians, you are realy confused somebody think that :
jesus is the lord, some think he is not only God, some think he is son of God, some think he is God in flesh .If he is like this then why he denied his divinity i can show you hundreds biblical verses prove that Jesus deny his divinity, christians realy you seem like blind I pray for you may Allah guide you to the truth before it’s too late.

Peace be upon you all.

we are not confused. You might be because you are not familiar with Christology or other theological issues. Jesus is not one sentence. Jesus is everything He said and did, that’s why you can’t pick passages out of context. It’s hard for a Muslim to understand what we are talking about because Islamic teachings lack the theological depth Christianity has…you can still learn if you’re interested…if not, then we dust off our sandals and we tell you Peace to you too 🙂

Jesus denying his divinity equals saying specifically, “I am not God.”

However,
*Jesus said to them, “Amen, amen, I say to you, before Abraham came to be, I AM.” * (John 8:58)

This corresponds exactly with how God refers to Himself to Moses at Mt. Horeb: God replied, “I am who am.” Then he added, “This is what you shall tell the Israelites: I AM sent me to you.” (Exodus 3:14)

Christ never said, “I am not,” but said, “I AM” many times.

One need only read John 20 in context to see that he was not denying that he is God. In verse 17, the “my God” refers to God the Father. He is not denying that he is God the Son. In fact, later in the same chapter we have the confession of Thomas that Jesus is “My Lord and my God!” and Jesus accepts his worship as God. At the end of the chapter John plainly says his purpose in writing is to demonstrate that Jesus is God the Son or Son of God.

17Jesus said, "Do not hold on to me, for I have not yet returned to the Father. Go instead to my brothers and tell them, ‘I am returning to my Father and your Father, to my God and your God.’ "

18Mary Magdalene went to the disciples with the news: “I have seen the Lord!” And she told them that he had said these things to her.

Jesus Appears to His Disciples

19On the evening of that first day of the week, when the disciples were together, with the doors locked for fear of the Jews, Jesus came and stood among them and said, “Peace be with you!” 20After he said this, he showed them his hands and side. The disciples were overjoyed when they saw the Lord.
21Again Jesus said, “Peace be with you! As the Father has sent me, I am sending you.” 22And with that he breathed on them and said, “Receive the Holy Spirit. 23If you forgive anyone his sins, they are forgiven; if you do not forgive them, they are not forgiven.”

Jesus Appears to Thomas

24Now Thomas (called Didymus), one of the Twelve, was not with the disciples when Jesus came. 25So the other disciples told him, “We have seen the Lord!”
But he said to them, “Unless I see the nail marks in his hands and put my finger where the nails were, and put my hand into his side, I will not believe it.”
26A week later his disciples were in the house again, and Thomas was with them. Though the doors were locked, Jesus came and stood among them and said, “Peace be with you!” 27Then he said to Thomas, “Put your finger here; see my hands. Reach out your hand and put it into my side. Stop doubting and believe.”

**28Thomas said to him, “My Lord and my God!” **

29Then Jesus told him, “Because you have seen me, you have believed; blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed.”

30Jesus did many other miraculous signs in the presence of his disciples, which are not recorded in this book. 31But these are written that you may[a] believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that by believing you may have life in his name.

When we say Jesus is the Son of God, we mean Jesus is equal to the Father in divine substance! However, the authors of Mohammed’s book misunderstood this title since they were eager to construe it in a sexual sense 😃 There are tens of verses in the Quran about the so-called major prophet Issa - despite the huge number of verses about Moses and some other prophets - that illustrate Mohammed’s failure to comprehend Christology! Thanks to Mohammed bin Abdullah and his scribes for their incredible contribution to confusion. I do not pray that Allah guide Mohammed and his scribes because it is too late now, but I can only pray for Muslims that claim to know the Bible better than Christians although their Scripture proves the contrary.

Peace & blessings to all,

Muslims follow nothing more than blind faith. Efforts to use reason in dialogue with them are useless.

Just make sure they don’t manage to deceive anybody else along the way…

We have gone over this so many times with Muslims that it is getting tiresome. ‘lightofeyes’ knows the answer, he/she is just trying to stir up a debate. Don’t give him/her the satisfaction.
EXACTLY. People should see this by now.

lightofeyes,

While you have not said as much yet, let us cut to the chase, you are claiming the Christian understanding of God is flawed because our scriptures have been corrupted.

I have oft asked why Muslim apologists use “corrupted” verses in an attempt to prove their points. I have just as frequently been told by Muslim apologist that the verses they use have not been corrupted. If this is the case there must be uncorrupted scriptures available to validate which verses are corrupted and which are not. Can you provide uncorrupted scripture to show us specifically which verses are corrupt or do you simply rely on hearsay from centuries after the fact?

We all know that there is no evidence of corruption and even the earliest documents support the current text, but I am sure you need no proof as Allah allowed the Jewish and Christian books to be corrupted (So we would be led away from him so he could direct others to kill us in his name?), but has maintained the Koran correct? In the words of Muslim apologist everywhere “That does not make sense!”

If you reject Jewish and Christian scripture so be it, but do not try to use it to prove points where no evidence exists, except “proof” invented centuries later.

Brother what you failed to understand is that as Muslims we don’t have problem with the biblical verses that agree with Quran 100% so thats why we use these verses to prove that the bible has been corrupted and has many contradictions.

The bible has about 10 stories about incest in details are these sexy words from God or these words from who have corrupted the bible please wake up before its too late.

Peace…

Ok if you have time compile a more detailed list for us and post it up.

Thank you the blind faith is contradicted with the logic and the brain christianity is.
It does not make sense for God to take on a human form and walk on earth. please wake up.

OK testify that there is no God but Allah and Prophet Muhammad is his messenger you will be unconfused and you will be saved.
