That’s an interesting take, Religio.

I have often thought that, many protestants worship the bible and not God. Then they use their god, the bible, to call me an idol worshiper.
It’s quite true. They worship the Bible and not God. All the time they spend memorizing verses, they forget about worshipping God. They talk about how the word of God is only found in the Bible, then they forget about the Word, Jesus Christ. Go to a protestant “service” and see how much time is spent on the sermon. You may be sitting there for over half an hour. Then they come to a Catholic service and complain about how short the homily was. Well, Catholics actually like to worship God, not just talk about it.

Who’s denying that Jesus died and rose from the dead?

Sounds like you’re preaching to the choir here.

Or did you think you were telling us something we had never heard of before?

Thanks DD great video.
Yes for many Catholics it is Mary first Jesus second, sadly.
They will say they go to Mary so she will bring them/show them to Jesus yet they never go to Jesus but stay with Mary.
DD and Hisalone are two of a kind they love the bible and have not found Jesus.

Are DD, Me, and Hisalone the only three people who have watched the video?

PLEASE watch the video. Again, it’s hiLARious! You wont be offended by it.

“Jesus DIED! He DIED!! Shouldn’t that mean SOMETHING?!” “Something” text then moves the video off the screen.

He then goes on to say how Jesus knocked on the doors of Heaven and how all the inhabitants of Heaven wondered who did that.

Here is a short video (11 minutes) that is absolutley great about the death of Christ. I hope you have 11 minutes to contemplate the death of Christ for you.

I pray your life is blessed by it.
Gabriel of 12;
I played your video, can you take a minute to read scripture the way God commanded his Catholic Church to live it; Peace be with you

Luke 22:15
He said to them, “I have eagerly desired to eat this Passover 5 with you before I suffer,
16
for, I tell you, I shall not eat it (again) until there is fulfillment in the kingdom of God.”
17
Then he took a cup, 6 gave thanks, and said, “Take this and share it among yourselves;
18
for** I tell you (that) from this time on I shall not drink of the fruit of the vine until the kingdom of God comes.” **
19
7 Then he took the bread, said the blessing, broke it, and gave it to them, saying, “This is my body, which will be given for you; do this in memory of me.”
20
And likewise the cup after they had eaten, saying, **"This cup is the new covenant in my blood, which will be shed for you. **

John 19:30
14** When Jesus had taken the wine, he said, “It is finished**.” And bowing his head, he handed over the spirit.

John 6:51
I am the living bread that came down from heaven; whoever eats this bread will live forever; and the bread that I will give is my flesh for the life of the world." **
53
Jesus said to them,
“Amen, amen, I say to you, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink his blood, you do not have life within you. **
54
Whoever eats 19 my flesh and drinks my blood has eternal life, and I will raise him on the last day.
55
For my flesh is true food, and my blood is true drink.
56
Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood remains in me and I in him. **
57
Just as the living Father sent me and I have life because of the Father, so also the one who feeds on me will have life because of me.
58
This is the bread that came down from heaven. Unlike your ancestors who ate and still died,
whoever eats this bread will live forever.” **

No where else in all of Christendom is this biblical teaching lived out but in the Mass of the Catholic Church these past 2000 years proclaiming the death of our lord until he comes, celebrating the parousia of Jesus Christ in his most blessed sacrament of the Eucharist which is his body, blood, soul and divinity. Not because the Catholic church believes this the past 2000 years, it is because God commanded it be so… Amen

Oh but we do Gabriel.

Spoken like a true outsider! You have no idea what you are talking about, only what people have told you to think.

Sounds like tradition as apposed to scripture…sorry thats a different thread!
You have made a wrong judgement about me. You see Ive been there done that and even bought the Tshirt.

Oh but we do Gabriel.
Really? Did you see, taste, hear, smell the Lord Jesus in his presence recently? Is your priest consecrated to Jesus Christ by valid ordination from the Vows of chasitity, poverty and obedience?

Or is it your faith that believes that Jesus exists symbolically by a piece of bread and grape juice?

to which faith of Jesus do you hold to, Jesus True presence?, or a symbolic Jesus presence?

oh don’t worry, a new version of evangelicalism will pop up at any moment. As soon as someone else thinks that they interpret the Bible better than the rest of the lot. They’ll even show these youtube videos during sunday service, since i’m sure it’ll already have the huge projection screen already! 😃

Thanks DD great video.

lol I’m sorry but that’s incorrect… just wanted to point that out… it’s interesting how we always get Protestants trying to teach us our own faith.

we love Mary and honour her, she leads us closer to Jesus, and yes in the end it’s all for Him. 🙂

LOL What is funny is how many Mary bigot we have on a Cathloic form, and its the some ones,They never learn,You would think after all this time they can learn a little, but it look like we have some slow learner

I tried to watch the video, but couldn’t continue, because his voice and mannerisms grated on my nerves. Sorry.

In any case, we Catholics contemplate His death and resurrection every time we hear Mass, every time we pray the Sorrowful Mysteries of the rosary, when we contemplate the stations of the Cross, etc., IOW, pretty much daily.

Some of our visionaries who have heard from Him say He has indicated that it pleases Him when we contemplate His suffering and death. We are not bound by private revelation, but, if they do not contradict the Faith, ie: Scripture and Tradition; we may use them to our edification.

I think it was to Sister Faustina, the saint of the Divine Mercy, that He said this. There may be others.

yes, there’s actually quite a bit in Catholicism about Our Lord’s death and the importance of His Sacrifice! 🙂 👍 that’s why we have crucifixes everywhere and not plain crosses 🙂 to remember His suffering.

That’s one of the major reasons this country was founded, religious freedom. Roman Catholics once really did jail and execute protestants.

Did you watch the video?

Protestants also once jailed and executed “witches” as well.

Protestants today still jail witches and Catholics and Athiests and others.

This country has had religious freedom don,t you remeber all the Cathloic murder by the PROTESTANTS or don,t your church teach this.
