I was reading and try to understand the why in the following verse that Jesus did not forgive the sins of those who crucified Him. Instead Jesus ask the Father to forgive them.
(Luk 23:34 DRB) And Jesus said: Father, forgive them, for they know not what they do. But they, dividing his garments, cast lots.
The gospels are full of Jesus forgiving sins of many people. Anyone have an answer for this?
