During prayer over me, a very holy priest with the Holy Spirit Gift of Knowledge said, “Jesus has so much in store for you.” Everything else that he said while praying over me (and much more specific) eventually happened. So this phrase the he also said has stuck with me since.

I think typically this phrase means good things are coming right? But is it possible that the things “in store for me” are not good?

I say this because I have been through so many storms in life. One huge thing after another. The past 4 years have been especially bad and this past month something even more tragic occurred. I know God is good… but curious if this phrase always means good things or does/can it mean bad things are in store for you?

Maybe the priest got word from the Holy Spirit that you would be going through tough things soon and that it would ok in the end

Jesus has so much more in store for all of us, we simply need to trust and to grow in grace. We stay in His friendship, and we then have heaven in store!

Jesus promised a life on this earth of suffering and trials. Storms and tragedies, but Jesus has in store for us a peace that passes all understanding while we are in the midst of these storms.

God does not give us bad things. He allows us free will where we end up in bad situations, he allows us to still suffer the effects of original sin in the way of sickness, however, He always provides us peace in the midst of these things.

He has good things in store but possibly the priest could have been gently preparing you the tough things that were about to happen if he has been given that gift of the Spirit

And consoling you that God always gives back many times over recompense for anything you’ve lost - book of Job and my own experience
