Is there any christian sects that dont believe Jesus was / is God?

The short answer is no. They are not Christian denominations even if they claim they are if they do not believe that Jesus is both God and man.Is there any christian sects that dont believe Jesus was / is God?
The simplest definition of a Christian is one who believe that God is the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. The Son, the second person in the Holy Trinity is Jesus.
Just to caution you: Always please remember that Jesus is BOTH man and divine.

Who can come down from heavens, certainly not a human being…

How come that Jesus with us till now, why not Moses or Muhammed…

I think it is more helpful for you where posters there are in better position to answer question like this. I recommend that you go through it to have better idea before go on proceeding with this thread if you still have some quiries.

Yes there are. The Jehovah’s Witnesses do not believe Jesus of Nazareth was Almighty God incarnate.Is there any christian sects that dont believe Jesus was / is God?
Christian Science, Unity, Religious Science typically do not have a belief in the incarnation.
Unitarian/Universalists churches do not believe in the incarnation either.
While some will claim these groups are not really “Christian”…I leave it to the group being discussed to determine if they identify themselves as “Christian” or not.

I understand your position that some of you cannot accept JW’s or Mormons as “Christian”…that is part of your faith tradition…I don’t agree with you however…they are “Christian”…just not an “Orthodox/Catholic” brand of “Christian”.
Those groups I mentioned have their roots in Christianity…they for the most part consider themselves part of the Christian movement…perhaps I am a bit “sensitive” on who and who is not considered a “Christian” since as a Friend, I too am often outside the Catholic/Orthodox definition of what makes a person a “Christian” since I do not participate in the “outwards signs” of water baptism or eucharist…but believe them to be “Inward Realities” of something Greater and that must be Experienced as life changing moments…not simply dunking someone or sprinkling someone in water or with water makes them a “Christian”…if no inward change occurs and a life of faith lived out takes place.

I used to think like you, but now I understand that unless you accept the fact that Jesus is the Christ, (or in other words, God), you are not a Christian. I am a “tree hugger” at times too. I do believe in the worth and dignity of all people and their religious beliefs is not what defines them. As a Friend I believe the Light Within works in all people to bring them to the knowlege of Truth…God seeks to draw ALL people to Himself and while many will never know about the Carpenter from Nazareth, the work of God is present as they are brought to Him…even though they understand very imperfectly.
