Jesus loves Mary

I know it’s an odd question, but as I’ve been reading devotional stuff about Mary, it occurred to me that it seems that Jesus loves Mary more than anything - does that mean He loves her more than you and I?
 
He loves her as much as is normal for a human to love his mother but he is also God

This issue seems to be several layers thick.
  1. Jesus (being God and all) has the Power to LOVE a lot.
    God’s Love is unlike people, who usually have a mixture of other emotions when they feel Love.
  2. In a “NORMAL” Family, a Son will Love his Mother.
    But, as the years go on, that “Pure” Love is tainted by the situations in Life.
    When a person calls his Mother a saint, usually there are 1000 reasons (deep in his memories) that she actually was more of a normal person.
  3. When Jesus was finished creating the Universe, God was PLEASED.
    This tells me that God loves all of His creatures.
    One of God’s creatures is the Human Being.
  4. In Heaven, there is NO Sinning. Therefore, it is easier to Love someone who is purely Good.
    Mary and Jesus live in Heaven, so they are both Sin-less, and therefore CAN Love each other more than a Sinner on Earth.
  5. This is tempered with the Fact that Jesus has 7 Billion current people in the World to Love.
    But, God’s omniscience (apparently) allows God to spread His Love out to all of us.
  6. Jesus, being God, decides how much Love He is pouring out to each individual person.
    Human Beings, on the other hand, do NOT decide how much Love Jesus provides each of us.
    At best, we can only PRETEND to know how much Jesus loves a average Human Being (or, how much Jesus Loved one of His absolutely Favorite now-Canonized Saints, while that person was living on Earth).
However much Jesus Loves His Mother (or step-Father) … it does not take away from the limitless Love Jesus can bestow on Human Beings.

This reminds me of something that happened in Grade School.
My Math teacher was showing how if you divide INFINITY by 2 … half of Infinity is STILL Infinity.
And, one-Billionth of Infinity is also Infinity.
Jesus has an Infinite Love … and He does with it what He will.

She must have a special place in his heart, but If we love Jesus and his mother, Mary, it wouldn’t matter to us if he did, because it would only add to that which we feel for them both.
 
In loving his children parents can love all of them equally for different qualities, but the same amount (unconditionally, ideally). The more the children the more the love is available.
 
Christ has two natures, human and divine. As He is fully God, He loves all mankind infinitely. As He is also fully human, though, it is only natural that He would have a special filial bond with those who raised Him.
 
Can you think of anyone on earth who has a better relationship with Trinity?

Mary is daughter to God the Father, Spouse of the Holy Spirit, Mother of the Son.

It is inconceivable to me that anyone has a relationship that is closer to God.

I think this seems like a simple question but the answer has to be deep. Jesus humbled himself and became flesh. He was born from a women, Mary. Jesus leads by example, Jesus as God gave us the 10 commandments, which says Honor Thy Father and Mother, so he will of course have Mary in a special place in his heart and mind.
 
Thanks all - I like the splitting infinity idea. I’m growing in my devotion to Mary, and I believe her prayers are helping me in my (slow but steady) conversion, but I am troubled by odd questions like this from time to time. Thank you for you patience.

I think it might be said that He has a preferential love for our Lady. That is He loves all humans with an equal love, this is measured by His one death on the Cross as the fullest possible expression of that love. Our Lady benefits from that sacrificial death just as you and I can. But He has particular relationships with each one of us which consist of an exchange of love. The more we love Him the deeper and richer that relationship will be. And the deepest and richest relationship will be with the one who loves Him most and who most resembles Him in qualities of soul. Mary is that person.
 
So in some senses our closeness and te love between us and God is down to us?

Well, if we assume-

a) Mary loves Jesus more than any other creature in creation and

b) the relationship between Jesus and Mary is the closest and most loving that exists between Him and any human

Then its reasonable to suppose that these two things are related. Or to put it another way the more we love Jesus the closer we approach to Him and He to us and the more we resemble our Lady.

I would NOT limit it that much.
All of my Closeness and Love I feel for God … is down to me (or rather, up to me).
God is constantly beaming Love into the Universe (and to people).
Every second, I have the SAME amount of God’s Love available to absorb into my Being.
And, every second, I have things which pull away my Focus on God’s Love, which is right there.

Fortunately, some of the time, my Heart is more Open, and it sucks in some of God’s Love.
These are my favorite times.
The entire World feels like a Good Place, and I feel very Close to God.
This is how it Works (at least for me).
