Jesus loves us this much

In reading today’s Gospel reflection from www.wau.org, this paragraph really jumped out and grabbed my heart. Jesus’ love is incredible…and I just wanted to post this here to share. Especially the underline part…I just have chills reading that!

Jesus loves you so much more than you might expect! Not only does he go after you, he doesn’t stop until he finds you. Even if you resist him, he won’t give up on you—his love is unlimited. And he doesn’t ration out his love: He seeks each one of us as if we were the only one gone astray. As soon as we turn to him, he rushes to wash away the sin and sorrow that have separated us from him.

I love the imagery of Revelation 3:20: “Behold, I stand at the door, and knock. If any man shall hear my voice, and open to me the door, I will come in to him, and will eat with him, and he with me.”

Just the idea that Christ is waiting so faithfully and patiently for us just to turn to Him :love: and the way we so often, even at the best of times, keep the door shut against Him :crying:

Yes…I agree…I know we shouldn’t have ‘regrets’ in life, so they say…but for me, if there were things that I regret, it’s the times I turned from Christ to ‘do my own thing.’ Thankfully, Jesus was persistent and wouldn’t take ‘no’ for an answer.😉 I love Him with everything I am now, and the thought of turning away …well, I don’t even have the thought, anymore.🙂
 
i have a holy picture which reads. “how much do you love me Jesus.” “this much.” jesus replied, and spreading his arms, he died.
 
Yes, Jesus loves us with an infinite love. He loves us way more than we could ever possibly love Him. Isn’t God good? 👍
 
Could you tell me what the reading was? I would like to read it, and the commentary but couldn’t find it at the link in your post. Thanks! we all need to be reminded of how much Jesus loves us. Ishii.

…and NOT the way we often love…It is absolutely mind boggling to me that Jesus loves me…no matter what I do…and His gift of Reconciliation is just awesome. I find myself so utterly blessed, and comforted in Jesus’ love.
