Hello,
I have noticed many of our separated brethren saying we catholics " worship " mary. I now propose an alternate discussion. I think too many of our brethren worship Jesus alone at the exclusion of the Father and the Holy Spirit. Directing all praise and all prayer only to Jesus denies the glory due to both the Father and the Spirit. Sola Christus is not biblical. If someone thinks it is, I will be happy to discuss, I will even use the king james version. Or the NIV. Responses.

I agree with your basic point here. Christomonism is never appropriate or biblical.

Solus Christus has nothing to do with that topic, though.

Sorry, perhaps my flawed understanding of Christ alone, led me to confuse it with Christ only. My mistake. In any case, I would love to hear an explanation of why protestants routinely practice Christ only.( as opposed to Christ alone, which I agree with )

Dear Traillius,

Are you referring to the Oneness Pentecostals, who teach that there is no Trinity but only Jesus as God?

If not, I’m unsure of what you are asking. Could you provide some examples?

Thanks,

Ruthie

Worshipping “In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit” might be just a little too Catholic sounding.

It would be as shocking as beginning a meal with “Bless us o Lord. . . .”
