Jesus nuked Sodom and Gemorrah pretty well. And then there were all the first born of Egypt. Does all that count as being nonviolent?

Of course, because we have now entered into the same land and philosophical/theological dualist mindset that one must have to think Jesus was totally and absolutely non-violent and totally against any and all violence …while having done violence.

Non-violent can mean so many things to so many people.

The more appropriate question would be, is Fr. John Dear and his Jesuit fantasyland of pacifism and pixie dust reflective of what is expected by God in the now, possible with the presence of Satan, and in all this- are those of us willing to engage in violence and not feel at odds with Jesus the truly sick ones, or people like Fr. John Dear and his absolutely ridiculous fantasies?
