Jesus on judging the living and the dead

It says that God will come back to judge the living and the dead ,and it says the as it was in the begining is know and ever will be world without end .So all the people who have died are resting in the ground ,but if God did not return yet to judge the living and the dead nobody’s in heaven right if we all die someday we might never go to heaven if the world keeps on going forever ,i’m confused
 
You indeed are confused!

There is a private judgement, which happens after we die. We get either Hell, Heaven, or purgatory. Those in Purgatory are destined for Heaven.
We get a taste.
Then, at the end is the General Judgement, which is when our souls go with our bodies and the Final Judgement is pronounced. Then we live wholly (as in body+soul) in Hell or Heaven.
 
So if i die and have a private judgement ,and end up in purgatory ,when the general judgement comes can a person be judge on going to hell or is he saved Thanks for your help
 
The general judgement is after the resurrection of the dead (everyone’s body and soul reunite). What happened to Jesus will happen to those of us bound for Heaven, except we will not be the most high like him.
 
If you end up in purgatory you will be in Heaven.

Purgatory is for those going to Heaven already but who have not had sufficient temporal punishment in life, or may have venial sins on their souls.
