Did Jesus have pity on the demons (Legion) in Mark 5 when the demons said, Please! Swear you won’t torture me! and he “allowed them” to go into the pigs?

If so, why?

Is there a hope, then, that Jesus will have mercy on all fallen angels in the end? (I know that’s a jump, but why mercy in the first place?)

Ever do something good for an enemy just to show that you refuse to be like him?

Fallen angels do not have a way of salvation like we do.

God did not send his son to die for their sins.

Face it… they know they are doomed and perhaps this is how Our Lord exemplifies …

Matthew 5:43 You have heard that it hath been said, Thou shalt love thy neighbor, and hate thy enemy. 44 But I say to you, Love your enemies: do good to them that hate you: and pray for them that persecute and calumniate you:

Luke 6:27 But I say to you that hear: Love your enemies, do good to them that hate you.

Luke 6:35 But love ye your enemies: do good, and lend, hoping for nothing thereby: and your reward shall be great, and you shall be the sons of the Highest; for he is kind to the unthankful, and to the evil.

Note that He allowed them to go into the swine, but the swine immediately destroyed themselves. Thus the demons ended up without bodies anyway. Jesus just let them have it their way. I think that is the essence of Hell - we get to have it our way and won’t like it very much.

Yes, but it seems to show hope. Like the turning of the cheek to heap coals upon their heads. Not for nothing…

Ever wonder why they had to run back into the sea? Could it be because we often see evil things coming up from out of the sea, as we do in Daniel (and later in Revelation)?
