I’ve been wondering something about the use of Jesus in different sects of Christianity compared with Catholicism. Here’s my question: Why in protestant churches is it all about Jesus, not that its a bad thing, but it seems to me like they forget about God our father and not that the Catholic church places any less importance on Jesus, it just isn’t only Jesus but God as well. Why is that? or am I reading it wrong.

Because it’s too hard to take in the fullness of truth (the ENTIRETY of the new AND old testaments, and yet still not concede that the Catholic church is the one true church. Therefore they focus on two things, with primacy given to one over the other
Primary: The epistles of Paul
Secondary: The gospels

Nef, in my opinion, non-catholic sects have to disregard the comprehensiveness of the Catholic Church. Certain elements are not retained and the faith is compacted into a narrower (if I may use that term without disrespect) view. For example, many sects disregard the examples of holiness of the saints, the source of graces in receiving the Eucharist, the certainty of forgiveness of sins, the necessity of Baptism and the underlying experience of the Church gained through the centuries in understanding of doctrine.

A narrower view has fewer elements that must be stressed more than others that I have mentioned. However, Jesus is most important in the faith for we must all be “Christ centered”.

I hope thishelps somewhat and if there are questions, please ask.
